IDK if I was a 17 year old kid I wouldn't buy what Meyer is selling. He'll be coaching there for 4 years, sanctions will start to come down, he won't be able to physically handle the pressure and will need to retire for a third time.

Keep dream he is going to get to get very talented kids to come to OSU. They will be ok in time just watch and see.

People think way too much of the type of impact UM will have at Ohio ST regarding ND.
He may do a bit better than Tressel but how much really? It is not like Tressel was a slouch. Plus OSU has never recruited nationally like ND has, and that will not change with Urban.

This impacts Michigan significantly more than Notre Dame.

Decker attended almost every ND home game this year, he is not going anywhere.

I never said he was. Howeve i disagree that he wont recruit nationally. Alot of kids Know who he is and the success that he had with the Gators. He still has ties to the florida kids and will bring some to OSU. Tressel won alot and often so thats what Meyer will do too.

Really, how many programs recruit nationally now? I do not mean 2-4 guys from outside their region a year, I mean legitimately recruit nationally?

Florida did not do it with Urban, Bama can't do it, LSU doesn't even try really, OSU never has. Really it is just ND, with USC, Michigan being able to when they are rolling. I would say Stanford can as well.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Urban will do well in Columbus. Who wouldn't at least listen to a 2 time NC coach. Hopefully this will impact scUM more than us. I do have 2 questions... #1: How will the sanctions impact their program (what happened there was far worse than at USC no???)... and #2: Will Urban still be able to be Urban without his health being negatively affected.

1. I think that they we be hurt by the sanctions but they will just Give Urban time to get his style up and running. 2. I think he now knows how to handle the stress at a big time University that he didn't have a Utah.

This is a good point. He doesn't get anymore schollies than were available to Tressel (and in the short term w sanctions, he may actually have less). If he does indeed recruit more on a national basis, by default he is recruiting less in his own back yard. Have I mentioned that I hate Urb?

“@BGI_JasonSapp: Just talked to #NotreDame OT commit Taylor Decker. He did have Ohio State come by his school, but he's "99.9%" committed. Good odds.”

Case closed.

EDIT: Didn't even talk to Meyer, his coach just told him Taylor was solid with ND and Meyer said to give him a call if something changed.

It's not like we haven't seen guys say, "I'm 100% committed" only to be followed by a decommit.

I'm not worried about Taylor.

Taylor is Irish.

Look for the already sky high player arrest rate at OSU to climb even higher while player discipline virtually disappears!

Honestly, please list some recent Ohio State player arrests.

In 4 years. I can only remember 1 other guy (Ragone) getting in some trouble. They have 2 in 6 weeks. Not to mention what we already know about the other 7 (?) guy!

That's just the last six weeks. I'm too lazy to look back further, but it's a dirty program with dirty players.

Can you go back further?

11/2/11: Jamaal Berry (OSU RB) charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

10/13/2011: Dominic Clarke (OSU CB) charged with disorderly conduct.

And Urban Liar isn't gonna do a damned thing to clean it up.

BUT...we are a bit OT

Back to Taylor fellas.
The chances of him flipping are so slim.
