I opened this thread and saw a post saying that this should be the easiest win of the year. It is not. That person is wrong.

Utah was not a good team last year. They got absolutely murdered by all 3 good teams they played. Overated all year long and it showed in the end.

And MSU? The team we killed and who didn't score a TD in a 21 point loss to Nebraska?

Coaches are making an immediate difference compared to 20 years ago. See, Chip Kelly in 2nd year at Oregon and a bunch of other 2nd year guys.

John Carney perhaps the Best ND All-Time Kicker.

Stonebreaker and Bolcar backups.

A freshman QB named Rice didn't play.

Holtz won a NC in 3 years with that nucleus and he did it without JUCOs. Check the Oregon roster. Auburn's roster. Alabama's roster.

I think the point your missing is that everybody who criticizes Rees just wants somebody else to GET A CHANCE to run the offense, because right now Rees is NOT getting it done against anything but horrible defenses. Hendrix has looked good in limited duty, and Dayne proved last year he has the ability...but neither one of them has really gotten the chance this year, and Rees' leash is WAY too long with the way he is performing. For all those criticizing Coach Kelly, Nick Saban would have had Rees' as5 on the bench long ago with all these TOs.

I can dig giving someone else a chance. but what if crist underperforms... or has another blunder that costs us a game... what if the offense is so vanilla when Hendrix is in the defense shuts us down... I just wanted to hear your thoughts beyond the "Rees sucks, put someone else in" type posts... cheers homie. nothing but love.
