For now but that can't make him feel good that our people are screwing him over.

Samspon talked to his father its over 1 math class. Tee is still committed like i was told. But if he leaves i would believe Deontay would follow.

he is still committed from what i was told so everyone relax.

ND still needs to do everything it can to correct this situation. It seems this kid has done everything he has been told to do to be an EE. If I was this kid I would loose a lot of confidence in the program if what we are hearing is indeed true.

Wow....... On the surface, without any details, seems like Notre Dame needs to find a way to work this out. Forget the football side of this, I wouldn't want my kid treated like this.

If it's one math class what is it? Pre-calc? You have to be Calc-ready by the time you enter Notre Dame right?

Can't he just take pre-calc in the spring semester and join the standard curriculum in the fall?

...or would that make too much sense?

I mean...that is good, I guess. But if he was mislead or misinformed by the ND staff and sticks through that for them, he is a bigger person than I am. As a fan, I expect MUCH better from Notre Dame than to screw around with a kid like this.

(NOTE: I have absolutely no idea what is going on here beyond what has been posted already by others. Without further info, I'm left to read between the lines and make assumptions.)

This kid has shown an incredible amount of faith in this staff, this football program and this university by committing to move from California to Indiana to play football for a rebuilding program when he could play pretty much anywhere he wants. What I have always loved and respected about Notre Dame is that they don't use kids and jerk them around like other programs. Instead, they give these kids every bit as much as they get from them. That has made Notre Dame unique and special. If they fail to live up to that, then they're just like everyone else - which would change everything about how I feel about the school and the football program.

If ND has done what it seems they might have done here, I am livid.

I guess I will just wait until we hear ND's side of the story, and assume that Brian Kelly and Co. are doing EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to help Tee out. You have to assume that. You have to. I am. You have to. :)

Let's not forget he risked giving up his senior season of high school football to be able to EE... I hope this gets worked out and worked out quickly. Losing these 2 would suck as they have been our some of our most vocal recruiters!

I hope ND does the right thing here...they better make an exception if they already okayed his EE..but something tells me if all this crap is true, admissions is not going to budge..even if someone there screwed up...

Damn this crap...was about to go to sleep, now can't...am too pissed and need to keep reading the latest on this....phuck me.

Staff Listing // Admissions // University of Notre Dame

I encourage everyone give it until tomorrow to let the facts continue to shake out (and in my case, calm down). Then write everyone on this list. I don't care if you're a just a fan, some fat cat Founder's Circle guy like my dad, or built the f*cking Rockne Memorial like my girlfriend's great grandfather... we all have a voice and it needs to heard on matters like this.

I will write each of them. What are the chances your father will drop them a line, too? And on the off chance your girl's great grandfather is still kicking, sign him up, too.

Unless this is the biggest misunderstanding in recruiting history, I am 100X more disappointed in Notre Dame about this than I was at my lowest point Saturday night.

Us? What about the ****ing kid?

Beau, I'm sorry brother. You're a good dude. But to me, this is bigger than recruiting. You don't do a kid like this, especially one who has been as stand-up through the whole process as you could ever ask for. The school owes HIM this. Nevermind us.

(But also, it would be nice for us if they would un-screw this up.)

don't you guys think admissions and everyone has already thought of all the ramifications of doing this...and its a done deal that they won't allow him to EE now...i.e things can't be fixed or if they could, no one would have heard of this even...Tee would still be coming EE as planned...

Call me paranoid and walk me off the ledge, but tee isnt coming, neither is his cousin. I can't blame them for bailing if this is true. Even though it crushes our recruiting class.

This coming out this late seems to indicate somebody made a mistake. If it's his, he owns it and should accept that. If Notre Dame made the mistake, they own it and should accept it also.

Mistakes happen. Someone's mistake shouldn't be borne by someone else either way.

If an ND representative screwed up the University better accept responsibility for his/her actions and work things out with this kid who seems to have done everything that was asked of him. This is bigger than football. This is about doing the right thing.

I'm usually totally against this but for those of you who follow him on FB or Twitter... show him some love... he deserves it!
