Well damn. This was a bit unexpected.

Although, I'm pretty happy with GAIII in our backfield as our speed back.

Is it possible we dropped him (a la Tommy Schutt)?

I don't see why. There is not a Jarron Jones or Sheldon Day out there at RB to feel good about. Sure Kieth Marshall and Russell are realistic shots but are not the favorites for either

It could be a numbers problem, or the fact the GA3 is emerging as a star in practice, or we lead in the coaches eyes for one of those players. Something just doesn't add up for him to drop us all of a sudden.

I agree. There's gotta be more to this unknown story.

Maybe the staff told him we don't have room...maybe we have a silent Keith Marshall?
It really sounds like Keith really enjoyed his visit, and we're at or near the top of his list...

There's something on 247 if someone wants to give us a summary.

I'm on my phone so I can't post the link.

IMO, it means GA III is looking pretty good at RB.

We may have another option looming as well.

GAIII's bottom half will transform this offseason.

As my roommate mentioned, watch the Rocket Ismail Irish Connection - he talked about developing his lower body and its importance in the run game. GA needs that.

I was thinking along these lines. Most of us were thinking we would take 1 more RB and we will 100% if it's Keith Marshall but maybe they like how things are coming along? Cierre, GAIII, Roberson (maybe he's looking good?), McDaniel then add Mahone. That is not terrible. Dami Ayoola is also still to visit.

Per BGI, ND staff were the ones that told Marshall not to come.

Remaining targets are Keith, Ayoola, and Russell.

Schutt Gate Part II.

Schutt Gate Part II.

Let's hope not. It's a very encouraging sign when our coaching staff feels good enough about our chances with the remaining elites that they're willing to pass on a Schutt or a B. Marshall. How many football programs can afford to turn guys like that away?

Read: "Hopefully this means the staff feels real good about Mark Richt getting fired.

i c wut u did thar.

The odds of us getting both K. Marshall and Theus seem much better than getting either of them individually.

Supposedly this is all to do with academics. Not grades necessarily, but specific credits. Remember him taking language classes this summer to try to get eligible?

Dont worry he will go to Oregon and put up heisman numbers. i dont get it sometimes. Staff has there reasons so i will trust him. I think it comes down to a academic issue.

It has to be academics (because like you said, he's going to do very well wherever he goes) which is a shame because I think it is strictly credits rather than his intelligence. I really liked this kid, BK. You better make it up to me with a national title or two in the not so distant future. :eek:grin:
