I think he meant that so many people hope for a recruit but they end up going somewhere else even though we knew it before hand. But they hope.

Just like this thread everyone is thinking of these extreme jerseys but in reality they probably won't be that crazy at all, maybe just green ones.

I think you've confused what I meant.

I took Riddickulous' comment to mean that we're wasting our time in a huge thread, dreaming about crazy uniform ideas---when the team could come out in the regulars and render this thread kind of moot.

Same concept with 50+ page threads on recruits who don't end up coming to Notre Dame. We kind of wasted our time following a thread for months.

But...

hopefully most enjoyed the ride following the thread and had a good time regardless of the outcome, which is sort of the point of a message board. So from that standpoint, I'd never call it a "waste of time".
