How is this staff going to handle both Marshalls and Russell at the same recruiting visit, when they already have one really good player verballed [Mahone]?? This is going to be high drama I would think. [and something similar must be happening at OT and maybe WR or DB]. But the RB thing just seems a bit crazy to manage.

I don't think so. There has been rumblings that the staff likes Russell as a slot WR. Keith Marshall is the gem, Byron and Russell are both really good players that fit the scheme. I figure the staff would be happy with either and call it a day. I would prefer Byron because he runs with a lil more power and is from the best state in the union.

Didnt make the trip. Look for him to go to Cal or Oregon. This sucks cause i thought we had this kid locked up in August.

Well, time to put all the eggs in the Keith Marshall basket. If we don't get one of the two Marshalls, then I say we just shouldn't take another running back.

Sapp is saying that another recruit told him that B Marshall was there. He personally didn't see him and has yet to confirm it with Marshall's camp but thats what he said.

Could have been that a recruit he asked thought he was talking about Keith Marshall...

Wow this really sucks. I thought he was pretty high on us and was looking forward to visiting for the USC game. This is the one running back I thought we had a great shot at. I honestly don't think that Keith Marshall will come to ND although I would love to be wrong. I guess we should focus on next year and see what happens. I know our staff will continue to make a push for Keith but in the end I think he is Georgia.

We must have put all the eggs in Keiths basket. Seems like the only logical explanation considering he was looking forward to the visit just last week.

Confirmed they didn't take the trip per his father.

Talked to the staff early last week and said that they didn't have a strong enough connection at this time.
