You've been lucky not to have them in your section then. They do exist.
I tell you what, if they exist in section 135, row 8 they're getting salted. I'm going to be loud, standing, and drunk.

Thanks for re-posting. I think they look great. I'd be perfectly fine if that's what we saw Saturday night.
I'm still trying to figure out where this sentiment comes from. I've been to a handful of games in South Bend over the last 5 or 6 years, and never once have run into someone upset at people standing and cheering.

Yeah they do. That was my biggest disappointment when attending my one and only Notre Dame game. I wanted to stand, like I do at Bengals games, everyone around me was sitting and seemed agitated when I stood up. I had season tickets to the Bengals for 10 years and everyone in my section stood pretty much the entire game. I guess it's just about getting lucky at Notre Dame games. I was amazed at how quiet it actually was and the lack of enthusiasm around the place. Most beautiful campus place I've ever been to but it was also the quietest.
I agree! I was at the Utah game last year and I have never seen a fan base so Blah as they are beating the hell out of the #15 team in the nation. I had people looking at me and my brother like we were freaks for screaming and cheering!
Also if we are having "Green Out" call me the Jolly Green Giant cause the 6'6" S.O.B. is gonna be sporting Green!!

What would everyone think about the Irish wearing the usual navy & blue home unis, but with pink lettering? If someone could do a quick mock-up of that, I would be grateful.
...
Also a quick note on the Jumbotron and Turf, I've heard first hand that BK wants a Jumbotron and Turf and that, according to him, it will happen in the next few years. He said tradition is nice and all but they need to break down barriers to bring us into the new century, and these barriers are being broken down quickly. See the training table as a small example.

Sit down and be quiet. Will ya?

Wouldn't that be something if ND comes out saturday with GOLD jerseys?
Since 2000...
Texas (9-3) in 2000
Utah (8-4) in 2001
Colorado (10-3) in 2001
Fresno (9-5) in 2002
Michigan (10-3) in 2003
Fresno (8-5) in 2005
Oklahoma (11-3) in 2006
Michigan (9-4) in 2007
Fresno (9-4) in 2007
South Florida (9-4) in 2007
Oklahoma State (9-4) in 2008
Utah (10-3) in 2009
68-27 overall in the Pac-10/12 since 2000, with four league titles.
19-1 in league play under Chip Kelly.
If you count 8-5 Fresno State as a big win, then I've got nothing for you.........
Other than I refuse to count the absolute homering of Oklahoma in 2006 as an Oregon win.

Fresno was actually 25% of that list.

Actually he didn't put Conference wins on his list so I think last years housing of Stanford 52-31 counts as a big win as Stanford was damn good last year as they shut Stanford out in the 2nd half and made Luck look human.
Edit: ok they didn't house Stanford but 52-31 is convincing

All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.
I bolded the part that sums up your argument.
Take the 8-5 Fresno game out---take all the Fresno games out if it makes you feel better. That's still a very solid collection of out of conference wins.
I don't even know why I'm defending Oregon but they are right around 10th in winning percentage since 2000. I'm sorry you live in Oregon and this bugs you.
Should I make a similar list for Notre Dame's games and not include any of the rivalry "conference" games we have?
Trust me, you might want me including wins over clubs that notched 8 victories or else the list is going to be pretty short.
For the record, any uniform without a gold helmet will not stand.
This I agree with. I don't mind messing around with jersey colors and the color of the pants but don't screw with the helmet color.

I have a gold #7 jersey that my parents bought for me when I was 10 or 11 (so right around 99/00).That might be kinda cool. I saw a guy at an Applebees once wearing a gold ND jearsey this was around 2001-2002 I was a youngster I cant remember if he have ever worn those during a game or if that was just an alternate jersey they were selling at the time.
Perhaps I was not clear, when I pointed out Oregon's surprising lack of "big" wins. I was speaking of beating teams with double digit wins, and 1 or 2 losses. I'm talking about beating elite teams, not second tier teams. An 8-3 Michigan team is a second tier team, in the year that they are 8-3. Oregon has been a solid program, but the truth remains that they "bought" their current crop of highly touted football players with the money supplied by one Phil Knight, CEO of Nike and an Oregon Alumnus. They haven't built their program by beating all the teams that they should, and a few that they shouldn't. Hell, in the same time frame that you referenced above, they are 0-1 against Indiana..........and at home(Autzen), at that!!
In their last 3 games against elite teams, they are 0-3, and have scored over 20 points only once:
2010 Rose Bowl vs. Ohio State: Lost, 26-17
2011 BCS Championship Game: Lost, 22-19
2011 vs. LSU Lost, 40-27
ND's performance against elite teams is totally irrelevant to the discussion about how Oregon has built their program up, so I fail to see why you even mention it.
Oregon has built a top tier program through slick marketing, NOT by beating other top tier teams!
They haven't earned anything, in my opinion.
They have become exactly what they espoused to despise, on their way up: a team that is always highly ranked, based more on their reputation than their play on the field.
But I'd be interested to hear what you think are "big" wins for Oregon, in the past 5 to 10 years, that came against someone outside of their conference......
There are plenty of top tier teams that they've beaten in their OOC schedule.
