This!
That would be dope.
This!
During the bye week we should pass the time with a well thought out over/under on verbals following the game.[/
I'm game. That is going to be a tortuous long time between games.
As I'm sure everyone else is, I'm really hoping it's Agholor. I don't really see it happening though. With how high he is on USC and FLorida, I don't think he would make such a heat of the moment decision. However, I could see us making a huge impression and winning his commitment somewhere down the road.
Seems to be a Florida Florida State battle right now with USC slipping.
Alviti.
Stanley > Odenigbo > Banner > B. Marshall, in order of descending probability.
The staff might not accept more than 2-3 verbals depending on how we sit with the big fish recruits.
Who on that list would the staff not accept a verbal from?
Only ones really would be maybe Keivarae Russell or Donaldven Manning
I believe he was referring to that specific list of 4 guys mentioned.
Who on that list would the staff not accept a verbal from?
Is he close to making his decision?
Not that I know of, but I dream big.
There is NOBODY visiting this weekend that the staff would not accept a verbal from. They are big fish. If you think the staff would not take Russell or Manning, your wrong. They are still actively recruiting both players.
I share your dreams but I would be suprised if Alviti does not end up at Northwestern. They are selling the Persa deal like none other. Also, comparing depth charts, he is much more likely to see the field early at Northwestern. Will be a fun recruitment to watch.

I don't think this is a hard sell for Kelly. 30y ROI for ND is $1,384,000 vs. $841,000 for Northwestern; 65% higher. Northwestern hasn't won the Big 10 in 11 years, and hasn't been to the BCS in 16 years.
Better education, higher profile, and a better program. The only thing Northwestern has over ND is a more inviting depth chart.
What? Forgive me for not being around as long as most of you lol, but I thought if you won the Big Ten you were locked for the Rose Bowl? Then again, I know the Rose Bowl wasn't always part of the Bowl Championship Coalition/Board/Series, is that why?
I wasn't implying that any of these guys would get turned down immediately if they tried to verbal, but some people think we'll be full after the USC game. I don't; we'll probably take the first 3-4 verbals offered and then hold a couple spots for the super elite recruits (and make no mistake, K. Marshall, Shaq Thompson, Nelson Agholor, Andrus Peat, etc. are on a different level from most of the guys visiting).
I will disagree with you on Peat. If Banner, Garnett, Theus, or Murphy offer a verbal during the weekend, the staff takes it and runs with it. I'd even say that if Banner and Garnett both offer verbals, they take them and end offensive line recruiting. Not at all expecting that to happen, but every one of the offensive lineman I listed are ELITE.

..... and a coaching staff that he is very close to.
Not at kids go to schools for logical reasons.
Depth chart is a BIG deal.
It's not nearly as cut and dry as you're trying to make it. It will be a tough sell. This kid is very close to the coaching staff in Northwestern, and again, the Persa factor is on their side.
