Look at Councell last year?? No offense, but to my knowledge, he hasn't even take a college course yet... Who says he's going to be a difference maker?

I trust the staff, like we all do... But forgive me if one of our 3-star prospects is competing in his first 7 on 7 tourney and I question how he's doing... If that's out of line, I guess this site isn't for me.

He hasn't enrolled yet? Is he the only one from the freshman class to not be in class?

Dolphin, don't start something like that just to make a point. Cranberry juice for everybody on me! Next thing you know we will have another conspiracy on our hands. Case of the missing freshman, (did he ever really exist). Can you help me out with this JK or Neutered????

Two points:

1) If you got big brass ones you don't care about stars you take the best players for your system, and if you are a player, you just work your *** off and know it will pay off;

B) We are starting to see the Kelly effect. All the services are increasing the hell out of his recruits, because they are getting invited to camps and excelling. Ratings services are social sites that base their ratings on gossip, (mostly). Kelly bases his evaluations on Longo, and some very shrewd and experienced assistants.

I think what he was trying to do was give an example of a kid who was very low in the rankings. We evaluated the kid (in his case, Ben Councell) offered and recruited him to come to ND. After he committed, he took his talents to events like the shriners bowl of the carolinas and dominated and rose up the charts to be top ten in his position. Just an example of evaluating talent and then that talent dominating his peers.

Yeah, this was definitely his point. And it was a good point, too. Not sure why some people have to argue everything.

Nice. I wouldn't be shocked if he was a 4:s: across the board by January. The more exposure he gets the better he will be ranked.

I agree with this, but I also believe that blocking is a "want-to". With a full roster there is no reason you can't find 10 guys that are willing to block 3-4 plays a game.

After the pep rally I saw him on a golf cart and said PROSISEEE and he had a big smile on his face and we shook hands. Seemed like he was having a great time.

That's one of the things that I love the most about Irish fans, they always seem to say hello to one another. Even here in Florida deep in SEC country no matter where I go someone coments on the ND plate on the front of my truck, or at the grocery store someone will let out a "Go Irish when they see my hat....or even at the liquor store....go figure. ND Nation is everywhere and it's us vs everyone else and I wouldn't have it any other way!
