Another big body on the offensive line never hurts. Kelly understands what Weiss never quite did. Your skill players can only do so much on their own. You need big strong bodies in the trenches and Kelly and staff are building great depth there.

The 2006 class alone had five 4/5* OL (Young, Carufel, Olsen, Stewart, Wenger).

Charlie understood perfectly that he needed big bodies on the OL. Having John Latina as OL coach did not help matters.

Even blaming Charlie for the DL is tough. Go back and look at Ty's last two recruiting classes on Rivals. Its literally shocking.

Anybody know when 2011 recruiting rankings will now be revised? I'm actually kind of interested to see what the services think adding Prestwood will do for us.

I'm so freakin' pumped that Ragone guy decided to return for his 5th year at ND! Gonna be a historic year for him, no doubt!

Well, 84 posts in 3 years I guess our expectations may be high.

Since he transferred, does that save a year of eligibility? Or is he to be considered a sophomore next year.

The NCAA allows athletes a 5 year window to play 4 years. 2011 was year one on Prestwood's clock. He DNP so he now has 4 years to play 4 years.

I believe he already redshirted the previous year.

He did...used it to become an OT after being a TE in high school. And I don't think he can use a medical redshirt if he didn't play at all. Unless I'm reading the rule incorrectly...

Love to see things like this.

Recruiting is a strange thing... Who would have thought on signing day 2011 that AL would be where he is and Prestwood would be where he is? Weird. Glad to have gained a ND guy throughout the madness though. Can't wait to see Prestwood pancaking some DLs.
