USC should be 5-1 coming into our game. We should be 4-2. First night game at ND in over 20 years. Regardless of ranking, can you name me a more compelling game that weekend?

Not Auburn v. LSU. Auburn will loses at least 2 of its next 3 games to be 3-4 or 4-3 heading into that matchup.

Wisky v. MSU? Maybe, if both teams win out between now and then.

Boise State v. Air Force? Very unlikely.

Tennesse v. Alabama? Doubtful. Tennesse should be 3-3 heading into that game.

Also I think we're forgetting that USC is #1 in the nation with the huge winning streak. If it's something other than Auburn v. LSU or Wisconsin v. Michigan St I'll be shocked.

They only scored 14 on Oklahoma State who allowed 34 to Louisiana-Lafayette.

USC has little depth coupled with poor conditioning. They have faded at the end of most their games this year - including Minnesota!
Even if we get behind early due to turnovers, the Irish will wear them down and dominate the second half. They do have great skill players though to keep all games interesting.

I worry BK will play it easy to start. I think we can destroy a PRO style Off. They do still have the players to make it close. If... IF we are on our game, should be a blow out. As I have said before though, all games before are out the door going into the game!

USC's OL can't protect Barkley, and they've struggled to rush the ball consistently against far worse defenses than ours.

The only thing that should worry us is Barkley to Woods, but our improved pass rush should limit that significantly. I'm more worried about AF, Navy, and Stanford than this game.

Why? One man can't beat you. Their defense is HORRIBLE. Barkley is good but their line does not block and they have no running game.
