For what it's worth: I've been reading some Pitt follower commentary. They are in full QB controversy rage about Tino [I apologize for screwing up his name earlier] Sunseri, and are calling for a guy named Trey Anderson to play.

Also, they think that their DB athletes are good enough but they're lousily coached ["missed assignments" and "regularly out of position"].

Also, they think that their linebackers are all shook up from being moved around and in one case benched, and don't understand the shift to the 3-4.

Also, they think that their D-Line is good until they gas out, and that is caused by a combination of conditioning and Sunseri not able to sustain drives.

Also, they think that Coach Graham is basically sacrificing this season to try to stay the course with his new systems come h@ll or high water.

Bottomline: they HOPE to stay close to us if WE continue to be incompetent ball-handlers. Otherwise, as one guy said: "I've got a very bad feeling about this".


p.s. that slip-down was Niklas. And Last year McDonald was to start next to Manti until he was injured and that's all that gave Carlo his shot.

I would love to see McDonald earn a 5Y with an injury-free senior year of redemption. He was a more highly touted recruit than either Calabrese or Fox. Getting some solid play from the WOLB would be a great improvement for the unit overall.

I read earlier today that Pitt gave up 7 sacks to Maine. MAINE!!! Our front 7 is going to have a field day tomorrow.

I want to say we will have a field day but after USF im going to enter every game weary. I know Rudy is weary and unconfident and in other news coffee is served at starbucks

Cant watch-gotta work-maybe it bring them luck. Or should I say get them to play up to the greatness thats in them. I'm from the 'Burgh area and know my buddies from Pitt will be there. Man would I like to see that game in person.

i understand where you are coming from, but based on how the team is progressing....i feel confident they will get the job done.

this team doesn't quit and you can see their growth/progression mentally & physically. bk's got these boys headed in the right direction.

Any reports if Kelly is planing/hoping to use Hendrix or Golson in todays gameplan? At the very least i hopes theres a big enough lead that he will bring 1 of em in.

I just learned, via twitter that Everett Golson can play any song on demand on the piano.

I know this has nothing to do with gameday, but I didn't want to put it in his thread and make everyone go there thinking I had some injury news or QB rotation update, lol.

WOW! I knew it was bad but not THAT bad. I'm changing my original prediction of ND 37 Pitt 34 and now going with ND 45 Pitt 24. I forgot how good our defense is so that's why I'm taking some points away from Pitt. I don't know WHY I picked such a close game before although maybe it may have had something to do with the fact that we have 13 turnovers in 3 games. Anway. ND 45 Pitt 24 BOOK IT!

Urban Meyer said that he talked to Coach about the "change-up" quarterback package [since he, remembering Leak/Tebow, believes in it] and that Coach is still planning for it "sometime". Meyer says that Notre Dame is ready to use such a package because the hard part of installing it [line blocking scheme] is already done.

Coach therefore is apparently waiting for the young QBs to be ready [I'll bet they already are for this reduced package] AND when he feels TOMMY is ready. By that I mean that Coach has as a priority getting the key offensive guys all the snaps he can to smooth out their games, before putting anyone else in [note the thing going on with Riddick as holding Toma on the bench until Theo gets it together].

IF Kelly thinks that he can spare the snaps from Tommy, then he's probably ready. If not, not happening yet.

Our 45 looks right, but I'd be highly disappointed in our defense if Pitt scores 24 points. I think our coaching staff would be as well. ND 45 Pitt 10

My immediate thought was them considering our TO woes. But ND should have no excuses, both teams will have to adjust if it's pouring. I'm just pissed because the already-sketchy site I plan to stream it off of will be even more fuzzy now. Damn.
