Michigan State's look like USF.
I kind of like the black Stanford helmets.
Navy's helmets are siiick.
LSU's gloves are the best I've seen... besides ours of course.

Navy's are the only truly memorable of the bunch, although it looks like they are wearing a one-piece pajama suit.

Army-not much different than what they usually wear.

Stanford-I don't think awful is the right word, but there is nothing appealing in their whole set.

Ohio State-see comments on Stanford

LSU-Already wore a uniform similar to this in the past. Boring.

Michigan State-Looking like USF is right...eww.

I think I can speak for both of our fanbases when I say: Sure glad we have adidas as our outfitters.

The Legacy jerseys from Saturday had to take some time for me to get use to when they were released in June, but I warmed up to them and eventually bought one. In fact, they're all sold. ND's looked nice but I didn't care for the bright lime green numbers on their jerseys.

Navy's was absolutely badass.
Standford's sucked.
And I really liked MSU's...thought they look sharp

Only universal thing liked about Nike unis are glove designs. Which only get shown when a player commits an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

we have similar gloves, no? and it's not like when Wood shows his off he gets an unsportsmanlike penalty. i don't know what the deal is with what makes certain ones legal, but I'd have to think that if nike continues to make these there must be a legal way to show off the gloves.

ours are sick, btw

Flashing them to the crowd after a play is definitely flaggable as unsportsmanlike conduct from what I've read.

so it is just "how" you flash them? because i can remember Cierre doing his best to get the noticed in the first game. He showed em off after both of his TDs (including the one that got called back due to the hold). so if you hold them toward the camera or other players or something it's fine but if you tilt your arms up a little and show them to the crowd it's unsportsmanlike? I don't like that.

I had always thought it was just an issue of getting them approved by the NCAA, but I guess not.

OK..you're kidding right?

Taking off my green and white (bronze) sunglasses....I thought the UM unis were ugly. The huge Adidas stripes on the shoulders? Adidas should really stick to soccer.

All I know is that the kids LOVE these jerseys, recruits love them, and that's all that matters.

I'm not totally clear on it either, but I've read lots of knowledgeable CFB analysts chuckling over the irony that everyone loves the gloves but they're begging for a penalty whenever they show them off.

As I understand it, any behavior that draws attention to oneself after a play-- as opposed to celebrating with one's team-- can be flagged. Thus, pointing to one's jersey or flashing your team's mascot via the gloves is a sort of gray area.

Maybe you think they were ugly because, oh I don't know, you hate Michigan? What, are you gonna say you love them? I don't expect that from a State fan or ND fan. It's natural to say that about a rivals new gear. Just like State's pro combats look dumb with the bronze and black lettering on the back which you can barely read.

Kids LOVE Michigan's jerseys. Players React to Night Game Uniforms - YouTube

The key thing is Michigan has THE greatest helmet in college football. Plus the perfect home uniform they've been wearing since the 1930s. I'm glad Nike isn't here anymore. Because they are notorious for ruining a classic look...

OK fair enough....sometimes when I take off the green/white glasses I have green/white contacts on too.

IMO-

Boise: A+ (All white with huge Bronco on one side of helmet is disgusting, in a good way)

Navy: A (those helmets should be a mainstay)

Army: A- (simple, yet a nice upgrade)

LSU: B+ (been done before, but the white helmets are sharp)

MSU: B (sharp, but makes them look like USF or Baylor)

UGA, O$U: C+ (I really can't stand the huge stripe down the middle of the helmets for some reason, makes them look like Power Rangers or some s-hit)

Okie Light: C (Orange and Black is hard to pull off)

Stanford: C- (The "Blackout" theme is overrated, and doesn't look that great)

OK.... I'll bite. Why are Sparty and scUM fans arguing on our site???? Get a room, lay the smack down and then hug it out already. This thread alone makes me hate the state of Meat-Chicken that much more. Bo and Hightower are both dead so the folks that both of you most hold dear, my friends are now gone. Now, flutter off into the mist and fight amongst yourselves somewhere else. Leave us lowly 0-2 cellar dwellers to root for berries and really hot blonde babes looking to score....

The only reason this crap is around is for the kiddies. The kids eat this stuff up. The old bluebloods can't stand this thing or anything that deviates from tradition, even in the slightest.

I actually like MSU's, although, they have a pretty sweet 'green' color now. I think they should work with that. I actually like Stanford's too. Not a fan of LSU's.

...

If a player scores a TD or just makes a play and tugs the front of his jersey bringing attention to the team's name or logo it's flaggable. Interlocking your hands and holding them up to flash the team's logo is the same thing. Wood could have been flagged both times for posing and drawing attention to himself.
