Welcome aboard JJ, you are going to have fun the next few years up here in SB!!
instead of bashing our coach and saying his recruiting tactics are immoral lets support the damn guy. thats why we have struggled the coach has had no support from fans and alumni. he is a great recruiter, who gives a s*** if he told the kid joe pa is old....HE IS! recruiting is an ugly business and we all know that. i'm sure if we were privvy to half the stuff that went on behind closed doors every coach would probably be hated. so congrats jarron welcome to ND, you have made a great choice that will beneoft you for the next 60-70 years. GO IRISH AND ONLY 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!
What?
Who here is bashing Kelly again? lol
Title2012 "quoted" a nasty comment about Kelly from a PSU board for laughs, except he didn't put it in quotes or attribute it, so several posters here have gotten upset at him thinking it was his own opinion.
Guaranteed he stays with Ishaq on his official
Terrific pick up! This news makes my day today!
Notre Dame's biggest needs in the current cycle remain running back and offensive tackle, a position at which Lemming believes Jones could develop into an All-American. The Irish are involved with a number of standout offensive linemen, including Andrus Peat, Zach Banner and Kyle Murphy.
"(Jones has) all the tools to be an All-America offensive lineman, and a good defensive lineman," said Lemming, who believes that Jones' first shot will come on defense.
Is this just Lemming being Lemming? Or is there some truth behind this?
This is the first mention I've heard about Jones possibly getting a look at OT. Everything I've heard/read has mentioned how great this kid will be on the DL. Just curious if Lemming is just talking out of his arss, as usual, or if there's a strong possibility he ends up on the OL.
ESPN has him rated as an OT (#13). He definitely has the body to play Tackle, but by all accounts Notre Dame recruited Jones to play DL.
with now jarron jones comming to ND, does anyone else think that maybe ND would be better off switching to a 4-3 defense? with two recruiting classes BK will have built increadible depth in the front seven but in a 3-4 scheme is it to much depth. with lynch, tuitt, troy n., nix, springman, ishaq, councell, hounsell and jones how are you going to play all these guys, it's a nice problem to have but is it a problem. have lynch and tuitt at DE with guys like nix, springman, day and jones rotating at the two DT spots with ishaq, troy n. and counsell rotating in at DE for lynch and tuitt.
