We haven't beaten both Michigan and Michigan State since 2004. Can we do it this year?

I think we do it this year. Michigan will struggle with the new coach's scheme and revenge is due for that fake field goal.

No. I have us splitting these 2 games. I hope I'm wrong. I know that in the ND vs UM rivalry, no one has ever won 3 in a row. Michigan has won the last 2. So that is kind of a good stat.

I'm wagering a loss in Ann Arbor and win at home against Sparty.

Nah.. If we split em.. We will win big in Ann Arbor and get caught in the under-toe against Sparty..

But I think we win both this year. Simply because UM is transitioning and we have more talent than State.. Talent that is going to be on the same page and a lot more comfortable in their systems this year.

Brady Hoke has been promising to do ND a favor and keep Denard in the pocket more. Night game in Ann Arbor tho..all bets are off as far as that is concerned. With that being said this year's defense isn't the same defense it was in September of 2010. Irish pull away in the second half and win 34-13.

Sparty's D could be in for a long day without Jones and Rucker... in light of that this game won't be a blowout (when is it?). Irish 28 MSU 17.

So yeah, we win both this year. yay!

I believe we actually win both by 10+. With both games ending the way they did I see Kelly, and the team, not allowing these to get out of hand. MSU scares me more then U of M. Coming off an 11 win season and Big 10 championship and I think they have one of the most underrated coaches in the country.

The underdog has also won quite a bit in the recent past in regard to UM. I would rather lose to Sparty than UM again. If I had a choice it would be a MSU loss.

We will win both.

I concur with this statement...
I just have a good feeling. haha
Not that I haven't been wrong a billion times before...
But I think that this is gonna be a good year for the Irish.

I don't see our maturing D gving up any where near the points they did as they did when they were Diaco fledglings. If the O functions as well as last year(and I expect they will do better) we win both hands down.

"undertow," dammit! [Reppin' for the deer]

Perhaps it was merely a colorful variation of the common metaphor for defeat; instead of getting "stomped" by Sparty, WildMan thinks we may simply get caught "under-toe". It sounds gentler... perhaps it means losing by a small margin?

There is no rest for the weary! We must carry on. I assume responsibility for my error!

Thank you Whiskey. But I'll take the grammatical bullet with honor... For the deer :wordyo:

I can see anythnig happeneing but for the last two years we have lost to sub par michigan teams so it wouldnt surprise me at all if we get beat in the night game at the big house.

The puzzle pieces havent fit this good in a while. Atleast it hasnt felt like it. Especially on D. I honestly havent felt this good going into a season in quite some time. Back in 2009 I was very excited to watch the offense and thought we were going to have a good year. But this year, the Defense is going to rip teams apart. I simply have a gut feeling this year. I think we beat scUM by 17+ and beat State by a solid 10 pts.

Go Irish!!!
