ESPN reports he will commit tonight 9pmEST on ESPNU. He's pretty much a Cal lock. All him and Cal's current QB recruit (Kline) talk about is playing together.

Let's be fair with USC's sanctions and what Oregon's going to get for the Lyle fiasco Cal could move up a bowl or two by attrition.

Will be huge for 2012 that Davaris and GAIII have one year in the system (assuming GAIII moves back to WR after picking up a couple RBs this cycle), and with the probability of both Deontay and Justin being EEs. Going to need at least one person to step up to be a physical (dominating) presence on the outside with Floyd's departure.

Bryce Treggs followed up his MVP performance at the event by committing to Cal. Treggs was everywhere and pairing him with Deontay Greenberry while Tanner Mangum was slinging the rock was just lethal. Treggs has always been a force in the 7On setting and this event was no different. During half-time of the championship game Treggs made his verbal commitment to Cal. He will visit Notre Dame this Fall and possibly others, but on signing day expect him to end up with the Golden Bears.

Irish verbal commitment David Perkins was talking up Notre Dame to Treggs in Oregon.

“He was in my ear,” Treggs said of Perkins. “We sat down and talked for a while actually.”

Treggs still plans on taking his 3 OVs (ND, Stanford, Cal).

He'll be at Gridiron Kings this weekend. Tee, Darby, Prosise will also be there and be able to talk more to him about ND.

I still think he ends up in Cal. But there's a long way to go until NSD.

By the time Treggs would consider waffling from Cal the chances are Ian Thomas is already on board. The question then becomes whether the staff likes Treggs so much that they take him as a 4th WR... because Ian Thomas has the build to play outside as well.
