Unless he could get a medical redshirt for a six year I don't know if you can preserve him. He already sat out last year as a Freshman.

I hope GA 3 eventually ends up at WR, whether it's this year or next. I'm not worried about RB recruiting at all. They're not going to commit to a team that only showed a running game the last 4 games. Wait until after the first 3 games to get worried.

honestly, i think that Wood could run for 800+ yds this season, my only worry is injury, however if Cam McDaniel is as advertised (see his highlights) then i think there is more depth at RB than meets the eye

I agree. I think Cam will be the biggest surprise of many from that class. I think many are overlooking Hardy and Brown also.

I would say ND's RB situation is okay. Not in the greatest of shape when it comes to depth. I have a feeling though, if a RB or two go done for a few games Kelly can come up with something to survive through those games.

He could always put Riddick in the backfield just to keep the defense honest but yet still use him as a WR. Anything can happen.

I expect Riddick to get some carries out of the backfield no matter what happens. I think Kelly will try to get the ball in his hands more this year.

Unless we get Keivarae Russell or luck out on Will Mahone i dont have a strong feeling we will get a solid back or at least not one of GAIII's caliber. We can hope Roberson comes back strong next yr and/or Cam McDaniel provides a nice lil 3rd down back or Ricky Watters flanker style

No, the NCAA allows you 5 seasons to play 4 seasons once you enroll. If you lose a season for an approved injury (you have to file a request to the NCAA through your school) the NCAA can permit a 6th season.

Also if you get hurt during the season you can get a medical RS if you played under a certain number of snaps. Thats what happened to Rhema McKnoght in 05

Thats the plan. GA3 will likely end up at WR but his experience at RB will be needed since the roster is so thin (yes it is thin IrishLAX) at RB.

We don't need luck with Mahone. He is very high on ND. I expect him to be Irish sometime before September.

I believe it was tee sheppard who said they went into "The Opening" with 5 recruits and are leaving with 7 .... Mahone is there and heard chances are high he commits .... i hope that is true. and would like to believe Treggs would be the other.

Yea, I saw that. If there were to be two commits I'd assume them to be Mahone and Day.

if anything was official/confirmed im sure it would be all over irish eyes, ISD,NDnation,B&G etc.

But seeing how he's one of the handful of ppl there who are allowed to talk to all the other players i'd personally deep down would like to believe its true. Yet only time will tell
