I find it funny that we laugh at other schools fans for being upset at this when this board has said far worse things when in the same situation.

I will never forget the day posters were talking about distance, family and location being a factor for Aaron. Then all of a sudden a new poster chimes in saying she go wherever and the board was suddenly paralysed. It was the strangest moments I have seen around here.
what eff are these morons talking about with "backhanded tactics" and arm twisting??? yea, the idea of a bunch of guys in their 40's and up showing up in Ishaq's neighborhood(@ 4am none the less) to prevent the william's from leaving there house is histerical??? thats the most rediculous thing i have ever heard, like a grown man and his 6-6 son were bullied into commiting to ND...what idiots.
I found the board this was posted on and am about to smack this guy in the mouth...with words.
People don't get away with posting crap like that here.
Oh sh!t like that has been posted, but we don't always get to it on time, and then we don't always delete those posts, because those are honest opinions, as crazy as that sounds. Yeah, that PSU guy was an a$$hat, and I almost signed up to to put that clown in his place, but there have been some a$$hats on IrishEnvy that have said some ridiculous things about other schools and their players as well (most of those guys eventually get banned for something or other, but their stupid posts could easily go viral before you know it, you know?). To our credit, many posters shoot those guys down right away.
One common misconception of some ND fans is that ND and Stanford (and a few others) are the only schools that a player has the possibility of getting a quality education, which simply isn't true. Yes, we do a far better job of putting ALL football players in a better spot to graduate with a real degree, but there are scores of college athletes all over the nation getting great education.

Have you read the entire thread yet? 3/4 of the posts are very respectful towards ND and Brian Kelly. Of course there are some knuckleheads - but have you read what some of our fans say on this site and other sites about Penn State and other schools, especially USC? We've got some highly misinformed fans as well, sadly.

And as mentioned, just go through the old Lynch, Hunter, Trattou, etc threads to see the wrath of ND fans.
Or, you can read the "ND/SEC" thread if you want to see how shallow, naive, and in some cases downright idiotic some ND fans can be...
I went into creep mode and found that just before he decommitted from PSU he posted the following on his facebook page:
"Notre Dame was sick. met alot of the players and coaches even Ishaq Williams and Manti T'eo. I love this place"
old news bro.
old news bro.
LOL...kinda ironic that you say that, considering that I just deleted your re-post of what the clown from PSU wrote. It was already posted (post #293), which prompted this whole discussion.
Just messing though bro - I was going to PM you why I deleted it, but saw an opening. Cheers...
i drink to good news jarron jones loving his visit to south bend...boy would he fill in that dt spot rotating with lou nix eeww weeee they will indeed be beast,,, i have a name for that d-line already "da lynch mobb" cheers! go irish!!
He's not being recruited as a NT. He'll be a SDE like Tuitt if he ends up Irish.

I try to never say anything on a recruitment thread which could prejudice NDs chances of winning the battle for that athlete's services; small as the chances that any remark I make has influence are, it's still not team play to do so. But I have to make one little remark: Blacksburg, VA is not a sh!thole, nor is the university there. It is my brother's university and I have visited there with him; he plans on retiring there and I can see why. The university itself is not a sh!thole. One of my best friends was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences there.
Jarron Jones should go to Notre Dame, there is no question about that. Our school is unique in ways which place it as an invaluable experience and asset for anyone's lifelong development. Some other schools might be sh!tholes [I'd have to look at that on a case-by-case basis] but I bet that few should be described in such terms. Virginia Tech and Blacksburg don't deserve the appellation.
Hey speaking of characters, OMM and dshans, did I sum up everything?
Then we wouldn't have to bear the long line of a$$holes waiting in line ....
