Throwbacks Revealed Tonight for UM Game

I know that they will be selling the replicas for $80. Wondering if they are going to sell the authentic game jerseys. Any word? I bought this past year's authentic jersey but disappointed that they did not come with the elastic arm bands like the ones worn by the players, had spandex instead. I had also purchased a few years ago the BQ jersey and those came with the elastic armband. They should really commit to selling game issued style jersey if they are going to label them authentic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Adidas techfit jerseys actually worn in-game are similar to a tight-fitting spandex.

Looks bad a$$ over pads, but I assumed it would look ridiculous without.

They are spandex type, that's why I was hoping to get a larger size than what i am usually accustomed to (48/M). The techfit jerseys actually came out around October so ND played with a traditional material styled jersey in September, similar to those sold at the Hammes Bookstore labeled "authentic game jersey." Yet the ones from Hammes and the ones worn in September by the players differ, players had elastic end sleeves while Hammes had a loose spandex end sleeves. The stitched ND logos on the sleeves are also smaller than the ones worn by the players.

Small nuance, but I think the old Adidas logo on it turns the jersey from cool to awesome.

It will kind of suck if it's just a replica, which that picture looks like. Might as well buy a tee-shirt jersey as far as I'm concerned.

An authentic would have to be techfit, no? I don't think we'll see those on sale since they probably look ridiculous without pads.

I think you are correct. Authentic would be the techfit which only the players will have unless you some hoe infultrate the supply closet and gank a jersey... The picture u posted Whiskey will most likely be the "HIGH" end verison on sale. They NC years are stitched into the inside liner of the jersey plus it has the "Spirit of Notre Dame" stitched in at the tag area. The replica probably wont have this... They may not even come out with a replice since its one game. They may just have this 1 high end verison for sale. BTW where did u find this picture?

So that is the premier jersey, which means the numbers should be sewn on or "appliqued.".

And I don't think they are going to stop making authentic jerseys just because we are wearing the TechFit ones now. I agree, it's unlikely we'll see one for the throwback, but there is a difference between an authentic and a truly game-ready jersey.

We don't sell authentic whites anyway, so we don't have to worry about those.

My guess is we'll keep selling the authentic blues that have been available since last summer.

Would you explain the difference between premier, authentic, and replica jerseys, Eric?

I'm struggling to see how a jersey can be "authentic" when our players are wearing Spandex (techfit) and the bookstore is selling Rayon.
