I think they can do a much better job with the shamrock than either of these examples. The biggest thing is not putting it upside down (the first picture got it right in this respect), and the second thing is not making it so damn big. Should be about the size of a fist - visible, but not gaudy. I think we will do a good job with our throwbacks.

They're quaint. I like the idea of wearing them for a single throwback game; though invoking Kuharich is never a good idea.

We'll win that jersey battle by a significant margin.

Looks like I'm in the minority, but....

A.) I don't think they are THAT bad. This "sample" has a really weird cut to the sleeves, and I don't think the striping will be as, how do you say, BOLD, as it is here than when the players have pads on. Plus, 98% of players don't really wear jerseys with sleeves anymore, so the striping will be much curtailed* when they actually put them over shoulder pads.

*Unless they are truly wearing longer sleeves like a real old-school uniform would.

B.) I LOVE the Trefoil logo and I hope Notre Dame puts it on their throwbacks too.

Because we have a long and storied history; acknowledging it with a throwback game every now is good policy. Especially since recruits these days know nothing about our glory days.

there's no need to do it imo...we have the best uni's in America wear them every week!!

I actually agree with you. I refrained from saying anything because I didn't want to get banned or something. I don't love them, but I could see them looking kind of cool in HD, actually.
