First time I've had a chance to watch this one. Makes some really fantastic grabs. I see him playing on offense.

Anybody feel like this is an indicator of where we stand with other WRs? I know we have several that seem to have very legitimate interest in ND that also received offers before Greenberry.

I don't think we are sitting badly with other WRs. In my humble opinion I think the coaching staff likes this kid and so they offered. I think we take at least 3 receivers in this class maybe 4 if someone like DGB wants to come.

Nah, per earlier comments/rumors, Greenberry was supposed to receive an offer in person at the Spring game but he didn't make it. He didn't get an earlier offer because he went from a relative unknown to a highly rated prospect seemingly overnight with his performance at a 7v7 camp.

I can't speculate on what position they're recruiting him as or what this means for where we stand with other prospects... but I think no matter what Greenberry was going to have an offer by the time he left campus in mid-June. The exception to that idea would be if some freakish scenario occurred where we got an onslaught of WR/DB/ATH commits filling up all slots before we had a chance to put an offer in his hand. Clearly, that didn't happen.

I would be shocked if doesn't commit on or before his June visit.

I definitely agree with this. He will be getting a lot of family pressure to commit. Word is he was actually with Tee when he got the offer, so his family is probably our biggest asset right now. I think he will be our next commit if we don't have a surprise before June 11.

I didn't think Carroo has yet been offered (could be wrong it certainly wouldn't be the 1st time) but he does have high level of interest in ND.

To me, Greenberry (much like Ferguson as of now) is vastly underrated by the muckety mucks at the major recruiting services...

I think if/when he commits we'll be elated to have him on board. It's great to have so many top quality players with genuine interest in Notre Dame.

Correct, no offer for Carroo even though he has said numerous times he wants a ND offer. Very strange considering how many other NJ guys we are targeting... I strongly doubt he gets an offer because I think he would already have one if we planned on it.

Kind of surprises me to be honest that we have not offered this kid yet. There has to be something that the coaching staff sees or doesn't see in him that would make us not extend an offer to him. Maybe Grades are an issue? I don't know.

Am pretty sure the guy asking about the offer was talking about Caroo (who does not seem to have been offered yet), not Greenberry (whose offer we learned of today).

I believe Greenberry wants to play WR and the staff is recruiting him at WR but have not ruled out safety. As for my list, it is still really early. The list is going to look completely different come signing day

DEONTAY may be a great safety, but he may be a greater W/R.

He has the speed to get deep------4:45 for 40 yds, anchors his schools 4 X 100 relay team

Tall enough ( 6-2/6-3 ) to be very effective in the red-zone.

Strong and tough enough to break tackles and move the chains.

BUT---best of all EXCELLENT HANDS-- when he goes up for a ball HE comes down with it.
It would be a sin to waste hands like that at safety where he may get one or two chances at
an interception a game. He has to be used where he gets 8-9-10 chances to catch the ball.

Besides he wants to play WR not safety
