Jadebrecks welcomed a new irish fan into the world at 2:29 am.
4lbs. 13 ozs. 18 and half inches long. Family is doing well. Mom was having blood pressure problems and baby wasn't putting on enough weight so they induced him.

JadeBrecks is a first time proud Papa and eNDzone is a first time proud Grandpa.

Congrats to both Dad and Grandpa.

I was still a student at ND when my first child was born, a son. I remember leaving the hospital after he was born, early in the morning, because I had some final stuff I had to do to graduate. It was a beautiful, sunny, May morning, and as I walked across campus towards the Administration Building, and contemplated the fact that I was a FATHER, I really, truly felt like I was walking two feet off the ground. I finally knew where that saying came from, "walking on air." I have three now, and I love them all dearly, but I never had that feeling with the other two as i did with the first one.

Then, three and a half years ago, my first grandchild was born. Guess what? Got it back. I have never felt anything like it. My fondest wish that both Jade and eNDzone experience that same euphoria.

How awesome. I'll pray for momma's fast and safe recovery. What a blessing.

We can always use more ND fans in the world. Boy or a girl?

I would have taken the under on birth weight... My daughter was a little one too. Just barely 5 lbs. It's amazing how fast they grow.

Held my grandson for the first time today. It is still a little hard to grasp.

Had a wonderful visit. Mom Dad and Baby are doing fine. They are all sleepy, but fine.

I gave my parents 3 grandchildren (had to make up for being an only child) and they say that grand kids are way more fun than kids. You have more money to spoil them with and you get to send them home. My dad doesn't love anything more than he loves his grand kids. Best Wishes.

Glad to hear that though he's early he's doing well. :)
