The "goodness" of an organization [ex. Notre Dame] is not determined by the behavior of an occasional error-making individual nor an accident nor an unpredictable and regrettable circumstance. The "goodness" of an organization is determined by a). whether that organization encourages such situations, and b). how it responds to them once they inevitably happen. I believe that Notre Dame neither encourages bad behavior nor slacks in its proper moral duties when such occurs. In that I refuse to agree that other schools [ex. Stanford] have us beaten by a long shot. This is my opinion and perhaps it is a fantasy, but I will remain in it until seeing more information which demonstrates that ND encourages bad behavior and then covers it up without attempts to correct it.
Sorry to be constantly serious on such stuff, but this is part of my home.
