Maybe I am just not grasping the football culture in the southeast, but how could anyone want to go to Georgia instead of some of the other great options available to this kid? I'm not even just saying Notre Dame. Georgia is a terrible school and its football program really isn't great (middle tier SEC; even when they're pretty good they have no real shot at winning their conference). What is the draw? What am I missing?

Not feeling good about this kid. I am starting to think that our chances with him are dwindling and fast. Seems to be in love with Georgia for some reason, and I too am a little baffled.

I went to school at UGA. The ladies there are outstanding, and on a game day, the little red and black dresses are everywhere.

It's not the weather. i taught at WMU for thirty years and sometimes concentrating on the lecture material was a challenge. Plus, our women's ball teams were filled with the dollyest Tomboys you ever would need to see. [pretty and pretty good at the same time]. If NDs ladies don't measure up, and I doubt that, the weather's not to blame.

My wife went to ND. She's not 'ugly'. Here, I put her as my avatar. And with all respect to her, I'm sure there are plenty of girls that are better looking than her walking around campus (but not to me of course!). She gets hit on by USC students (we work across the street from SC) quite a bit, and they see the creme de la creme of women every day. Not even trying to brag or anything (some may find her unattractive, and that's cool), just saying, you're off base here. And while it's not USC or Georgia, the talent there has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY better the past 10 years.

I think you also said South Bend sucks as well. Easy there buddy...this is a Notre Dame site and you bagged on the women and the city. It's bad enough we have to hear it from SC and Michigan fans, but from ND fans? And I can tell you, I was born and raised in SoCal, and I love visiting my in-laws in South Bend (such a better pace of life and friendlier people, among many other things), and the ND women are better than you're giving credit for...

It's really silly to say the "talent" at ND doesn't compare to other places. Yeah, maybe they're not SEC sluts who will give you herpes, but the truth is between St. Mary's and Notre Dame there are plenty of good looking women.

The 'truth' behind any complaints is that:
1) They don't put out as easily.
2) They don't dress up like southern girls (a lot of this has to do with the weather).
3) A lot of them are jersey chasers.

Seriously... living around some hockey players... if you saw the kind of tail that Ryan Thang and Kevin Deeth pulled every weekend you would not complain about the talent.

Eh... the girls are pretty average to say the least. Undoubtedly, there are some very good looking ones, but those are not as prevalent as what other schools may have. I could go into more detail into why this is... but just believe it as the cold, hard truth...

HOWEVER, football players need not worry about unattractive girls because football players are treated like gods here. They get the best looking girls without having to lift a finger. So girls should not be a problem. It just makes it harder on the average student who doesn't have god-like status to get the same girls.

I will attest to the fact that there are a decent amount of attractive girls at ND. They travel in packs, and there are maybe 6 - 10 groups of good looking girls in each class

If that's the caliber of women that are walking around the campus, then sign me up for some classes.*

I certainly don't know this to be true, but I find it hard to believe that a recruit would actually base his future on the prevalence of the hottest women. I LOVE looking at a beautiful woman as much - or more - than the next guy, but if this were to actually be anything of a significant factor in a young man's choice of school, you REALLY gotta worry about his overall decision making abilities.







*Okay, maybe not sign me up for classes, because I'm kinda borderline retarded, but I would be happy to peek in windows until the cops came.
