All Navy Athletic Events Cancelled If Government Shuts Down At Midnight Tonight - NAVY OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

All athletic events (varsity and club) at the Naval Academy will be cancelled if the government shuts down at midnight on Friday night. There will be no athletic competitions until the shutdown is over.

Didn't see that coming. I'd assume it applies to Army and AF as well.

Navy athletes have been nonessential for years, except of course when they've become exceptional playing us.

Im just saying this is how the other forums started. They start with a topic that people are on both sides of. Usually during the off season(for the motorcycle forums it was winter) After a few threads people start getting very angry because political threads are breading grounds for fights. Usually a place is created for political topics. Several people get angry and people star leaving. Not saying this will happen here just giving a heads up.
