I traded mine in to get the show. That game has pissed me off for the last time. Now to wait till 2012 comes out and be disappointed in it.

The Show is awesome. Make sure you pick up Fight Night Champion as well.

I'm not a big baseball fan, but if the Show is half as awesome as I've been hearing, I might have to get it.

Man sorry to hear that! What happened that you can't move your hands enough to play?
I wish I had time to play... I've liked the 2K series of games.

I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy called Spinal Muscular Atrophy or SMA. It weakens the muscles in the body and eventually my arms and hands became so weak, I couldn't move them enough to play anymore. I do have movement in my neck and head, so I'm able to use a trackball (which is similar to a mouse), to control my computer. Basically, I have the trackball positioned so I can move it with my chin and click the left bottom just like on a mouse. I have an on-screen keyboard that I use to type. I do what I can, but I definitely miss the days when I could play video games.

Chris :)

did the same, though I haven't gotten into the show yet this year... as I get older I find few games GRAB me anymore...I hardly played NHL this year, I usually play a couple full seasons,... and I have only played one game of the show and usually play it like crazy...

the only game I really look ahead to is NCAA... just love me that game

It's at least half that awesome.

Just brought the Cubs to the NLDS, up 2-1 on the Giants with the next game at home.

Fun as hell.

it's unreal how good some of these sports games can be while others remain SO bad...

MLB the Show lapped everyone about a good two years ago... NHL is great... NBA 2k is crazy good this year (though BBall sucks *** in general so)... I like NCAA but it def. has it's shprtcomings in added features and presentation

then you have great game play in Fifa but it COMPLETELY lacks anything close to good realistic dynasty play... Madden has been a train wreck for years... NBA Live is horrible,... MLB 2k is even worse...

you'd think every developer by now would have just copied the model of The Show and NBA 2k...

i have MLB 2k11 just because the show doesn't come out for XBOX. if it did, i would choose the show over 2K in a heartbeat. 2K has decent gameplay but the graphics are almost laughably bad at times and the player animations awful.

The NCAA football and Madden franchises both suck.

Although the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is still clunky, mechanical, and unrealistic. There are so many problems with the latest edition of NCAA that it's ridiculous. Pass protection is non-existent, there are a ridiculous amount of passes either batted down by a DL or swatted away by a LB before they even reach the WR, a pass is either a straight bullet or a huge lob ball with little middle ground, it's virtually impossible for one of your OL to make an AA team or an awards list because they never pancake anyone, out routes and curl routes are harder to complete than deep balls, there are an absurd number of dropped passes, tackling is impossible, etc.

I think the game's biggest flaw is the CPU AI. The CPU players are idiots.

That's rough, man. You're stronger than I am. Good luck, keep fighting the good fight, and post when you can.

I disagree with just about everything you said. HAHAHA!! I think NCAA 11 is fantastic and the most realistic of them all. I have OL and DL make the AA team nearly every season. You need to beef up your recruiting, or take off your irish glasses once in a while (ND olinemen can't win it EVERY YEAR). And you can't stand in the pocket forever. Balls that are thrown too low over the middle get knocked down all the time. These are things that happen all the time in real life.

And you gotta have "the touch" to make the pass do what you want. Takes years of pratice to put the touch on that 15 yard in over the middle between the safety and linebackers.

I do agree that the CPU players are idiots. They do some strange things sometimes.

Techmo Super Bowl was awesome!! I remember having like well over 3,000 yards rushing for a season with Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders. I also loved Christian Okoye!! Randell Cunningham was a great scrambling QB. I played that game for hours!! It got so bad that I forgot what my parents looked like!! LOL!! :)

Membership as a class member in the Electronic Arts Litigation is the result of a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, Oakland Division (Case No. 08-cv-02820 CW).

What Is This Class Action About?
The class action lawsuit alleges violations of California's antitrust and consumer protection laws in connection with the sale of certain football video games. Plaintiffs, purchasers of Electronic Arts' football video games, claim that Defendant Electronic Arts entered into a series of exclusive licenses with the National Football League (NFL), National Football League Players' Association (NFLPA), National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and Arena Football League (AFL), which Plaintiffs claim foreclosed competition in an alleged football video game market. Plaintiffs allege that this series of exclusive licenses caused customers who purchased certain football video games to be overcharged.
Defendant Electronic Arts has denied any liability and all allegations of misconduct. The Court has not decided whether the Defendants did anything wrong, and this Notice is not an expression of any opinion by the Court about the merits of any of the claims or defenses asserted by any party to this litigation.

Who Are Class Members?
The Class includes all persons who, during the period January 1, 2005 to the present, purchased the Madden NFL, NCAA Football, or Arena Football League brand video games published by Electronic Arts with a release date of January 1, 2005 to the present. Excluded from the class are purchasers of software for mobile devices, persons purchasing directly from Electronic Arts, persons purchasing used copies of the relevant football video games, and Electronic Arts' employees, officers, directors, legal representatives, and wholly or partly owned subsidiaries or affiliated companies.

What Should I Do? (Getting Further Information)
If you believe that you may be a class member (see above "Who Are Class Members"), you should get more detailed information about the class action and its potential effect on you and your rights. Further information can be obtained by going to the following website: Pecover v Electronic Arts, Inc.. To Remain a Class Member
If you are a class member and you do nothing, you will be bound by the court's rulings in the lawsuit, including any final Settlement or Judgment.

To Exclude Yourself from the Class
(Deadline to Request Exclusion: June 25, 2011)
If you are a class member and you want to exclude yourself from the class and keep your right to sue Defendant, you must take further action before June 25, 2011. By that date, you must request exclusion in writing to this address:

I still got my NES and i play Techmo Bowl,RBI Baseball, and Mike Tyson's punchout all the time... those games never get old...

As for NCAA i love playing with ND with the Pistol Offense....

I do each on the Wii...

I tend to adjust my offense and defense according to personel each year... one year I'm running no huddle, pass first shotgun spread with a 4-3 base... next year I may be running I formation 3 yards and a cloud of dust with a 3-4... I just play to the strengths of my players...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, back to the MLB The Show... I have the day off and decided to finally sit down and play it (have owned it since the day it came out and just haven't found the time or desire)... and wow... this game was great two years ago... idk what you'd call it now but it's beyond what it used to be...

1.) pure analog is great... the pitching and hitting is much more fun now... they did a great job of coming up with a system that I can already see I'll never truely master BUT is still basic enough to pick up and play without runing the game... great balance there... hitting seems better too. love the analog

though I'm having trouble with base running... time will tell on that aspect I suppose... (seems they change running every year and it's always a problem)

2.) graphical upgrades are noticable for sure... playing opening day in Kaufman looked unreal compared to any other sports game... still can't grasp how great this and NBA 2k can look all around (players, field, crowd, everything) and other titles still look like the crowd is just pasted on the background... NCAA is moreso in the second category

3.) 'vision'... don't know how else to describe it at the moment... the 'vision' of the game is much better... it doesn't seem like they tweaked the camera angles that much but it is definately much easier to read pitches and balls in general... for instance, last year I would be lucky to have any game I didn't stike out 10 times or more in... very hard to read balls and strikes on inside and low pitches... AND in the field I was never able to make diving plays on line drives in front of me in years past, it was too hard to read the flight of the ball and judge if I should dive or run through the ball and try to catch it on the run... this caused a lot of balls to get behind me... I can already tell both of these issues are at least improved upon...

I guess it just seems like a more realistic game AND easier without losing any of it's realism... still a total sim... nice upgrade imo.

Agree with everything you said.

Pro tip: Catcher angle 5 for hitting helps you see balls and strikes easier.

Plus: I don't know if you do this already, but if you turn off the strike zone all together and refrain from guessing pitch type/location your average will go up.

I don't know why this helps so much, but I went from a below average hitter to pretty damn good after I did it. I'm guessing it helps you concentrate fully on the ball instead of the box around the zone and the guess work you may or may not have got right.
