As stated above- is it still nasty of the musician is huming the ND fight song?

Why does the trombone have to be "rusty". That's adding to the mystique I guess?

The trombone is rusty because assuming one did not clean their back area properly, it could lead to a quite rusty looking upper and lower lip.

"Dutch Oven" just sounds cruel.

"Dirty Raccoon" seems a silly waste of time and highly impractical in MN in February. Maybe in June, July and August it would not lead to frostbite.

I was introduced to the "Rusty Trombone" many years ago by a lady friend, but I'm not sure that that particular "maneuver" had such a catchy name at the time.
