Education being important is in our favor, especially with a good 2011 season and OSU's recent trub.

I don't really know if it's warranted but I am really concerned about the coach in the recruitment of Ifeadi. Centerville has been funneling kids to O$U for years and I am concerned this might be a Aaron Lynch time siutation where the kid wants to go one place but the coach wants him to go to another because it's better for his (the coach's) career in the long run. Maybe I am fretting about nothing...

I also found it odd how the interview was basically the coach and neither of the players...you're concern is legit, especially due to the school's heavy allegiance to Ohio St

“We had an outstanding defensive front four last year,” said Ullery. “We had Michael Bennett who’s going to Ohio State, Kyle Rose who’s going to West Virginia, and our other d-lineman, who I believe is a D-I caliber type of player, but he’s only 5-foot-10, and then you have Ifeadi."

They have one man that is currently saying he will go to OSU. Another to WV. I don't think this guy is pushing his players one way or another.

Last i heard he lead for him. so i dont know where you think it will be tough to pull him out. Not saying we are for sure going to land him.

One has to keep in consideration that ND hasn't focused much recruiting on Ohio players in the recent years until Kelly and his staff got here. I don't recall "golfing Willingham", Davie or Weis going as hard for Ohio kids as Kelly is. So it may be somewhat misleading to think that ND doesn't have a shot at kids such as these from the Ohio St. "hot bed".

There is a lot of talent in Ohio this year. If you miss out on one, there is more to fill the spots. Ohio is loaded this year!

And OSU seems NOT to be loaded with available scholarships to offer either.

Regardless if we lead for him or not, it's going to be a tough pull...Ohio kid's generally grow up wanting to be a Buckeye and even if we lead and with their recent trouble this isn't going to be easy, but hopefully in the end he's Irish.

This might have already been brought up. But does anyone know where we stand with him?

Seems to really like Stanford, Northwestern, Ohio St., and ND.

Education looks like it is going to be an important factor in his decision.

Would love to get him on campus this spring.

I got that from an interview he gave right after his visit. His preferences could have changed by now.

We'll see what happens with OSU. If it turns out like I hope, ND can make a lot of headway into Ohio.

I like that we have a legit chance with two more stud OLBs in Ifeadi and Noah Spence. The talent stock is rising in South Bend.

It was expected, wasn't it?

Let's hope for some more sparks on the defensive side of the ball. Last year was awesome. We'll be reaping the benefits from the 2011 class for a long time.
