Ray was gone in 2 years anyway no matter what. I don't mind switching him for Billups, especially when it comes playoff time. Only regret for me is not keeping Mozgov, but oh well. If he was the piece needed to get it done, you have to put him in there. Pumped we kept Fields. Garden is gonna be rocking!

Knicks need to add a true defensive/rebounding center and a stud PG in this upcoming FA cycle. If they do that, they will flat out be better than the Heat and Celtics come 2012.
With that being said, if the Heat can add a couple upgrades or the Bulls tweak their roster either of those teams could be just as good. The East is just going to have a scary amount of "elite" teams in 2012. It'd be hilarious if Lebron never got a ring with that team in Miami.

Finally! I was so sick of all the melo talk on espn. Congrats knicks you gave up a lot of depth to become a 48 win team that gets knocked out of the playoffs. If i was a nuggets fan i would be alright with this trade. GO PACERS!

100% with ya...I am bumming.
No way the nuggets keep both Tar Heels on the roster. Look for Ray to be moved somewhere else (hopefully a contender!).
He really excelled in D'Antoni's system (unlike Charlotte inexplicitly putting him at the 2).
How tight would it have been for Ray to be dealing dimes to Amare and Melo....ahhh, this stinks.
