For Rivals:
Lynch moved from #90 to #28
Drew moved from #28 to #9
Mike Farrell is to blame for this calling Lynch's speed rush his only move. I am not sure if he watched any practices but multiple reports (not just Irish sites from guys like Pete Sampson who hammered Drew) talked about Lynch looking like the best DE on the loaded East. If Farrell wants to hang his hat on the "in game" stats, both Lynch and Drew got 2.5 sacks, but really every East DL broke through multiple times flushing the scrambling QB to another teammate, and both had a couple tackles.
To take off the Domer glasses, during the game Lynch quicker and had comparable strength to Drew. The only defense of Drew being ahead of Lynch is the previous ranking (but aren't those like previous spins in roulette - completely independent of the next spin/ranking?). Even with that rational, #9 to #28 is too far a gap, and Drew is NOT at top 10 player in the nation.
Ahh sorry for the venting, just doing some late night reading...take home point, rankings DO NOT matter. I am just glad with have Tuitt with the rest of our class again, or should I say for now...
