It's not good because decision tonight means enrolling early at FSU on Monday. Delaying, taking an OV to South Bend next week means he would not enroll early at FSU but could enroll early at ND because classes there start 1/18

Either way, he effectively needs to make a decision tonight. As you said, if he doesn't show up to classes on Monday, he is probably coming to ND.

I feel for the kid. I know what it is like to make life changing decisions having left good jobs twice (hopefully each time for better jobs). Good news for me is that I didn't have to make that decision at 18 years old.

"Just a heads up that Notre Dame's coaches have made the trip to San Antonio.

Spotted in the hotel lobby were Diaco, Martin, Alford, Warinner, Denbrock and Cooks.

NCAA rules allow seven to get on the road, so not sure who that seventh would be."

I hope the 7th is BK himself.

If he does indeed decide tonight then he is probably sticking with FSU... no reason to rush it unless you have to make classes 24 hours later

Aaron Lynch said numerous times after the game that he feels better in a 4-3. It doesn't look good for the Irish.

why be a pessimist now? We have NOTHING to lose!
We've already lost out on this kid,and he's seriously considering coming back.
There's no reason not to be excited!

Classes start on Monday but many students miss their first classes or week of class. I think he just wants to end this circus!!!

OR, it could mean that FSU recruiters really pissed someone off.

My initial feeling is the same as you guys. I saw this article as well, and it doesn't seem like good news that he's deciding tonight. But, looking at it in a positive way, if he decides tonight that ND is his school, it gives him this week to pack up and go to South Bend to get ready for school next Monday. FSU's semester starts the day after tomorrow. I hope the kid makes the right decision for him, hopefully the answer is the same as mama Lynch.

I've been under the impression that head coaches are not allowed to meet with recruits during this time (something about it being like a home visit)...if there wasn't this rule, head coaches would friggin' live with certain recruits. But don't hold me to this! Just saying, if Kelly isn't there, there's a reason.

I do know for a fact that any and all coaches are not allowed at the game.

Correct. Only assistants per NCAA.

If he was dead set on the 4-3 he wouldn't have reopened up his recruitment and even be talking to ND!
Obviously something happened that made him consider us again! would seem pretty foolish to decommit from FSU and than just recommit again.

You know now that you say that I think I do remember seeing this one before on here. I believe there is a time that the head coaches can't visit the players, and it may have been close to the end of the cycle. You may be right LA. There are way too many rules that have to be followed in recruiting for me to follow haha.

He said he was uncomfortable with how many D ends FSU had/ is recruiting.

And he said he likes how Alford has stayed in touch with him the whole time...shows that ND cares
