BOOOOOO. But you can't blame him. He is a great player and an intellegent young man. He will make the right decision for him, as he should. Good Luck FLoyd.

Good, go.. we don't want you anyways (in crying whinny kids voice).

But seriously, Michael I'd love for you to come back. But good luck on whatever your decision may be.

I will say he's being a good Domer, obviously doesn't want this to be a distraction for the team before the bowl game.

I didn't really see hints in either direction.

I think he might even know what he's doing at the moment.

I don't know what he's doing either but I also don't think he tipped his hand either way in that interview. Of course he's always dreamed of playing in the NFL, you show me a football fan and I'll show you one who's thought of playing in the NFL. IMO, he's just answering the questions asked of him in the most diplomatic way possible, not trying to take focus away from the team's goals in favor of his own. Once the bowl game is over and the season is offically over, I think he'll show his cards more.

Really hard to see or say.... he was just answering the questions. I still honestly believe a lot is going to ride on whether or not the NFL has a lock out or not.

I didn't get an indication either way. I really think he is just focusing on Miami, and is not even thinking about that decision until Jan 1st.

Hope he stays another year, but on the other hand if he thinks he has a great opportunity and wants to go to the pros who can blame the kid. He has been an awesome player and person representing Notre Dame the way it should be so I wish him the best of luck either way.

Didn't hear anything that would make you think he is going pro or staying.

I am with you, I didn't hear anything that would lead me to believe he is gone, he was very vague, but I think he has bought in to the Kelly mindset of playing one game at a time.

first off, Rudy is gone, gone, gone. It pains me to say it, but might as well take that medicine now.

From the floyd video, I think he is going to see what comes back from the 'entering his name in the process'. If they come back and tell him he is going in the first round, even at the bottom of the first round, I think Floyd will be gone. If he is told he comes out in the 2nd round or later, I think ND has as good chance to keep him. but if they tell him 1st round, unfortuneatly for ND fans, and fortunately for Floyd, he will be in the draft.

If Rudy leaves, Michael leaves.

Always felt like these guys would decide together. (ala Clausen and Tate)

Personally, I can't be mad either if he goes pro...I think we all new as early as his freshman year that he was going to be gone after this year anyway, so if he decides to stay that is just super, but if he doesn't good luck to him he's been fun and a pleasure to have/watch.

I'd say chances are high that both are gone. It's not really a totally bad thing though. Seeing Floyd and Rudolph stepping directly from ND to productive NFL careers will help with future skill position recruiting.

Without Brady Quinn, there would have never been a Jimmy Clausen, Dayne Crist, or Andrew Hendrix

Realistically, he is a second round pick. I just hope he gets a fair evaluation. The difference in money between first and second round is huge and I hope he makes the right decision. It very well may be a cost effective decision to stay another year.

It'll suck when they're gone, but I think the kids are alright. I like Eifert, and one of the newcomers (Daniels or Atkinson III) will step up.

the interviewer was annoying... how many times can you ask "Is there a percentage chance you are going pro?".
"Is it a dream of yours to play in the NFL"? - No, I just like college football, but I don't want to play pro, I want to just get a regular job.

Good answer's Mike, even if you already know if you are leaving, don't distract the team pre-Sun Bowl. Good man, and best of luck either way.
