Yes, maybe he felt he was giving more love to ND than he was receiving. And decided to bolt? I still think it may be he sees Cierre looking pretty dang good, and he may not get the ball early in his ND tenure.

if he comes on board...cool...but you know we always seem to get guys after they get injured and never quite live up to the hype out of school...i wouldn't be mad either way...def feeling his buddy and some extra love for Savon put him over the edge.

Tennessee was on his list early, and then with DA going there, the love being spent on Savon , and Cierre playing so well just all added up on him moving on. Hate to see it, I thought he was the right kind of guy. Sorry to see it.

Go Irish. With the last 2 wins I thought we would add recruits not lose them.

Thank you Irish Recruits that want to build/add to the Irish Nation.

Lynch - Painful
Prestwood - Painful
Burton - Eh
Hayes - Not so bad

This one doesn't hurt as much as the Lynch and Prestwood decommitments. I'm over it.

Can we get some good news soon?

Yea it doesn't make sense that we are winning and losing recruits. Hopefully we can keep the rest and add a few new ones.

I try and not get too wrapped up into a recruit until signing day.... it is too brutal to follow these kids flip flopping...... recruiting in general is becoming a joke.

I agree. I also try to not pay too much attention to recruiting, but I can't help myself because I want good kids/athletes to come to ND. It is so hard nowadays to get too excited over recruits because we seem to lose alot of them every year. This year has been hard because we have lost some guys that I truly felt were Irish through and through. The bottom line is we have to hope for the best and see how everything pans out on NSD. Hopefully we can add some more recruits before then. We still have a nice shot at some truly outstanding kids so let's keep our fingers crossed, because until NSD anything is possible as we have all seen.

I would bet that Davaris Daniels is really starting to get angry! I mean, DD worked his butt off to get his grades and stuff up just to get in to ND, and these other kids just throw it away to take the easy way out.

Oh well, this kid is gone.

Good luck Justice.

The kids anymore lie and don't know what commitment is.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. These kids don't owe ND anything till they sign on the dotted line, and ultimately they have to do what they think is best for them. Justice said something has changed for how ND is recruiting him in the past couple days, though he has declined to say what that is. Its best not to get too invested in these kids till signing day rolls around.

Totally agree with you. I think this recruiting has reminded alot of us that these are kids and anything can happen. What seems like a sure thing isn't always the case and until NSD anything is possible.

I personally think the recruitment of running backs is overrated. Either you've got good blocking -- in which case any decent back will do fine -- or you don't, in which case nobody will save you.

Right now for example we've got 3/4 great backs, but that hasn't translated into anything our o-line hasn't provided. Compare that with, say, Wisconsin, who could put up 100 yards rushing with Andre the Giant.

Andre the Giant could gain 5 yards per carry just by falling forward

A lot seem to think Rocky Top has the inside track here. Looks like ND is on the outside looking in.

Who wouldn't want to play for a team that almost beat LSU this year? If only that goal line blitz package had worked at the end of the game. Who would have guessed that blitzing 9 and dropping 4 guys wouldn't work.

Hopefully Justice won't learn to count from Derek Dooley.

Barry sanders is not an "example" that running backs don't need blockers any more than Jim Abbott was an "example" that pitchers don't need two arms. Or that Lawrence Taylor was an example that linebackers can be crack-heads and make the Pro Bowl.

He is an outlier. There is a big difference.

You just cant win with guys who dont really want to be at your school. Notre Dame will survive and I remind you that some of these guys may change their minds. By the way look at the great teams and see how many 3 star guys end up in excellance. If a player has questions on his commit those same questions correlate into performance issues on selling out and being the best he can be. How many guys who dont finally go to Notre Dame have been excellant in their play at wherever they end up-not too many. The word is committment.

Justice keeps referring to a couple of situations he was uncomfortable with...Anyone have any insight? What could possibly have gone wrong!

He is good friends with Deanthony Arnett who just committed to Tennessee recently. They keep in real close touch and have spoken a lot since Arnett's decision. Tennessee also has little to no depth at the RB position right now. However, they are more of a power running team than a finese, spread you out team. Justice seems to be more suited for a spread offense but I guess that decision rests with him.

Maybe he just got uncomfortable with the way the Irish were recruiting other backs. We have made a lot of gains on Savon and now we are looking at McDaniel and Carlisle. He may just not feel the love and if thats the case then let him make his own decision.

I completely understand a philosophical difference...I think he would come out and say that ND doesn't fit his style! He is specifically referring to situations he was in while attending the last game...
