OMG im excited again!
This kid would be a HUGE pickup for us.
Think of having him, Maty Mauk, and Andrew Hendrix as our 1-2-3 punch.
That could be SICK!!!

just imagine ND pulling the upset, it could be that much bigger. In general and in recruiting.

Man, If we could pull off a miracle and upset these guys..., I love dreaming about that..., that would do wonders for our program which has been struggling and would be the biggest, most meaningful win in YEARS.

It's kind of funny seeing everyone getting excited about poaching a kid from another school :devil_2: But we owe old Butch one for Mr. Little

*Poaching and recruiting go hand in hand. Not poaching just makes you oblivious to how recruiting works.

At this point I am beginning not to care anymore as we seem to lose recruits every year. Most years we end up picking up one or two ourselves, and this kid would be a good pick up.

I feel the same way, it's all part of the recruiting game.

Exactly. I will only celebrate our recruits once NSD is here for sure. So much happens during the course of recruiting that even the most solid commits can turn elsewhere and abandon ship. I am just glad that our two big decommitments at least didn't wait until the last minute to do so so we can pursue other avenues.

Great Article from earlier in the year.

You talk about RKG. Everett is definitely in that category.

Article shows in so many ways that this kid has an amazing work ethic. He has the heart and desire to do something great.

I was over at NDN viewing their board and a poster said he was at the game and actually ran into Golson and his family in the concession line at halftime. He said this..

I was in the refreshment line at halftime with a recruit and his family. His name was Everett Colson (??)from South Carolina. They were very nice but were freezing in the rain and cold. The dad said the young man was still quarterbacking his high school team in the playoffs ( won Friday nite ) and was eager to get basketball going where he was and all state point guard. He said that North Carolina promised the boy he could play both sports in college ( sure Butch. tell them anything) . I do not think there is any chance at him going to ND. The family was just too damn cold !!

from what i read on this thread Brey has offered to meet with him to see if he would want to play on the basketball team, not that it is as big as UNC's basketball tradition. And the cold part I don't think matters too much because Teo didn't even stay outside the whole game because of snow. And we see where Teo chose.

But we shall see.

What would he do when he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills or (Minnesota Timberwolves)?

Hey, sorry guys but it's too cold. Really, truly sorry.

If you pick, or don't pick a place because of the weather during the winter you're a freakin' pussy. Just sayin'. I'm rather confident it won't be the case, if the kid is smart enough to get into Notre Dame he is probably smart enough to realize the weather is a non-issue.

If he truly wants to play both sports he has a much better shot at doing so at ND than at UNC. He is a 2* prospect and the #62 point guard. UNC consistently recruits top 10 talent each year at the guard positions.

For what it's worth, UNC recruited two top 10 guards in 2009, two top 10 guards last year and have a top 10 guard coming in this year's class. If I was in his shoes I would be STRONGLY considering Notre Dame if I didn't wanted to be on the team or have a remote shot at playing time.
