He visited the campus in summer correct? I think we will have a ball at the Army game at Yankee stadium! We should be in good shape with this kid.

If I was a highly touted recruit, that horrid performance at the Navy game would have shown me enough to not give Dame another look.

Really? And what would the Iowa State game have shown you about Texas?

One game does not make a team nor a coaching staff. Now if we were to go get blown out by Utah and lose to Tulsa... then I could see people reconsidering.

Also, Penn State is arguably having a much worse year than us. They have gotten killed in every single one of their competitive games and their "big win" is over Minnesota. Their others are Temple, Youngstown State and Kent State.

Same deal with Rutgers (who might not be a leader but is local for Ishaq and a leader for Savon) where they needed OT to beat Army and got smoked by Pitt.

Trust me... as negative as all of you are intent on being... it's not very realistic.

We need to get him and his parents on campus ASAP and have a great showing against Army at Yankee stadium! With Burton going to Florida Ishaq at OLB has become a need not a luxury anymore.

A lot of these young athletes and their parents and coaches aren't as dumb as some people would try to make them. If they like the school; and they like the coaches; then they might just decide that it takes time to build the "new house" and they'll be a big part of that. A certain degree of "demonstration" that they're badly needed might bring the thought of immediate, serious playing time to their decision. What we need is the promise of good teammates to play beside. To a major degree the class itself [guys like Aaron, Justice, Kyle, Jarrett, Ben, Matt, etc] can do that by coming together as a band ahead of time. Fellows like this great prospect that the thread is about might well see all of that as big plusses. I know that i would have thought about all that stuff. So, don't underrate Ishaq's intelligence in being a thinking person.

You have that 100% correct Mike. That "big picture" for the kind of athlete who is likely to succeed at Notre Dame (meaning not the hoodlum punks who some other institutions tolerate) is very important. The kind of kids who want what Notre Dame has to offer are rarely so fickle that the result of one game will send them running for the nearest football factory.

Coach Kelly has kept in contact with many top end recruits and Ishaq Williams is almost certainly seriously considering Notre Dame.

Ok, here is my 2 cents:

1st Cent, we want top end kids to consider us seriously. Make us relevant in the recruiting world again. It is happening!!!!!

2nd Cent, we want top end kids to verbal/sign with us. It is happening. Andrew Hendrix, Prince, Manti, James (RIP)etc. And now, Lynch, Tuitt, the Twins, Justice, Heg, Hanratty, Ben, etc. We are relevant, we are in the hunt!!

Keep the faith, and the Kids that want to be Golden Domers please come and we will embrace you. Bring the tradition back, join Lynch and the crew to bring us back to title contention.

You get the right kids, kids with talent, and kids that want to be here and good things will happen. And add good coaching--Poof we are back.

Look at Oregon (now that Masoli and Bloundt are gone and James has cleaned up his act), Boise State, Cincy when BK was there you can win with good coaching and good kids. Or the right type of kids for your system.

For one I can't wait and see Davarius, the twins, Tuitt, Lynch and the crew create havoc for the Irish Opponents.

Go Irish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awesome news. Ishaq was very important before the de-commitment of Clay Burton, but now he is essential. This guy is very talented and would provide a good rotation with Rabasa.

I want this kid. Badly. Just think about our defense in 2012 with Lynch, Tuitt, Williams, Rabasa and Louis Nix all as sophomores. That could be one of the best front 7s in the country with all of the talent at linebacker to go with those 5.

To go along with Teo and Calabrese as seniors.

To go along with Kendall Moore, Prince Shembo, Danny Spond, ad Kona Schwenke as juniors.

And lets please not overlook Jarrett Grace or Ben Counsell anymore. These kids are solid and help make up a real solid rotation.

I like the front seven on paper as well. Lets see how this plays out!

There's a reason why my name is "Title2012". It's a bold prediction for the 2012 season.

Does he have any kind of commitment schedule or is he waiting until NSD?
