HAHAHAHAHAHA thankyou! also, i noticed how fast Jason changed the "countdown to gameday" to Tulsa :) honestly, dont judge BK till youve seen what he can do with his guys. I mean, ill judge him for every single thing he does, but you guys shouldn't...

I'm honestly beginning to be surprised why kids still feel like signing with our program?
I for the first time am really feeling down.
We havn't really put a good product on the field in about 17 years....since then there has been nothing but mediocrity.Coach to coach, nothing really has changed.
Now, I still have hope in Kelly.I really do. I hope he can turn things around.
But today, it looked like Weis was on the sidelines. He had no idea what he was doing.
What happened to "preparing all year for this offense"?
This team had no heart because a couple of our best players were out? That's sad.

I am a Notre Dame fan to my core.I love them with everything that I am.
But I am just so incredibly sick of mediocrity. There is absolutely NO reason we should get pummeled the way we were today by that kind of inferior opponent.

I'm sorry for this rant, I just had to get it out of my system.
Let's go kick Tulsa's ***! (It's sad when I have to laugh at that)

The '05 team was good, the '06 team had issues but was good also. Had Weis been on the sidelines we would have moved the ball, probably wouldn't have stopped them, but we would have scored. Weis did not lose like that to Navy. Can't believe people are still bashing Weis.

I still think we keep most, if not all, of these recruits. The defensive recruits all see immediate playing time and the offensive guys know they're being recruited for the spread.

The question is really whether we can pull in any more of the guys we have our eyes on.

When you get man handled like that against Navy it makes the team look bad. Why will top notch recruits want to come lose.I want the top guys to come here and i love this team but damn they would have been better off not to show up.

I'm struggling to picture what an inferior team would like like compared to us right now...

maybe army?...maybe not?
im starting to laugh at the jokes people have been saying about us all the time, about how we schedule all the service academies.
im sure if we played the merchant marines we'd lose right now.

I thought about this and what kept coming up was an old saying, "It's better to be going down the drain than coming up it!"

Hope we can keep the recruits on board till NSD. I'm still hopeful we will get another one or two good quality guys. Alot of defensive recruits will see immediate playing time next year and we really need the depth at alot of positions.

Let's see. The chance at early playing time and to be on national TV every week and get a top notch education. Yep, no idea why anyone would pick ND.

National Signing Day will be the same as always, we will lose a more than we gain in the closing stretch. Rather than pick on the obvious at U$C, look at Little and Austin at UNC and you can see why we lose our share.

NSD won't matter until 2013. How we develop what is already on campus will define the next two seasons. When has an O-line or D-line ever been overhauled by freshmen?

How did Iowa State dominate Texas? They are not in the same universe on Star rankings? So. Carolina vs. Alabama?

Hey PH, buddy. It's all about direction:

...yea, I get it...just trying to fugure out quite honestly where we are in the landscape...I thought Kelly was blowing smoke when he said we aren't good enough to count anyone as a victory...we really aren't. That is pretty tough to swallow...

We won't lose to Army. Navy is just an exceptional team. They'll be 10-2 by the end of the year.

Honestly, do you think we have been anywhere on the forefront of the landscape since the BC loss, and Bobby Bowen Lifetime Achievement award? What do you think the Bush push game was, an almost win? What about the great draft status of ND players? NSD losses? IT IS ALL EXCUSES.

It has to be about clear vision, and execution. So first thing, last year ND fell apart after a Navy loss. This year we have more reason to do the same. How does the team respond this week? One thing, one thing to build on. Period. Then we are to the bye week. Then it is one more thing. Like how healthy can we get . . .

I bet UM is in those florida kids ears right now. Don't underestimate that slimeball especially since he is on the inside track for prestwood. He is all but committed to them............

Answer to the rhetorical question: ND in 2007. If you're looking for an explanation of the last 3 years of Charlie, or this last game, this is the answer. ND has had to play freshmen in the trenches, stunting their development and creating serious weaknesses. This is why we're not where we want to be, we lacked the depth to prepare our young guys properly for several years. This would have been the year that we began to recover, but coaching change also adversely impacted player development. No excuses next year.

Hell he just got Burton today, tomorrow will be Prestwood more than likely, and I am sure we might lose another to him. It's all good, I would rather have a kid who wants to be at ND than have a kid that is having second thoughts about his loyalty. These are young men and alot of times they can be swayed. UM does a good job at swaying alot of kids.

Weis was on the sidelines. He had no idea what he was doing.

OK - no more tongue biting for me.

Notre Dame ran Weis out of here with extreme prejudice. Yet here we are with a new coach, same problems. it make me think that the coach wasnt the problem(I thought that back then as well). simple troubleshooting suggests that once you change a part that is bad, and the problem persist, then the part changed wasnt the problem. its just that ppl hated weis on a pesonal level and still do this day. he's had success before and after Notre Dame. (ppl hate that too)
