How many starts had Denard had when he beat ND? How many starts did freshman Tate Forcier have when he beat ND? How many starts did USC qb have when he beat ND? How many starts did Kevin McDougal have when he almost led ND to an NC? Crist "can be" good, but he makes some of the most head scratching dumb plays. That's all I'll say about that. I don't want to work myself into a bad mood.

ND O really needs to click second half. Pitt has one hell of an offensive game plan, and ND is not adjusting. Lucky to be ahead 17-3.

Yea, College football players don't get enough games to develop slowly, especially if they're in their third year by the time they get their first start.

The difference is, IMO, that Dayne has been living in another offense for 2 years. If Weis were still around, he'd be having a better year. But, we'd be worse in the long run.

This is the first game in a long time that I wasn't drunk at halftime. I thought that was one of our better all around halfs. Crist had his ups and downs...the elusive TD run makes up for the miss to Floyd in the corner. The defense has done a great job against a pair of excellent running backs. They've had decent pressure on the QB, but they missed some easy sacks. Pitt is a good team, but I think we win this game as long as we win the turnover battle (currently up 1-0).
