I just can't go through another heartbreak loss. It friggin' kills me and ruins my sports week (I avoid listening to too much sports in case they bring up ND, which they inevitably do). I'd love nothing more than an ND upset, and damn it, the closer it gets to game time the more I believe it could happen. Why do i do this to myself????

Let's go Irish...beat them damn trees to a pulp!!!!

In Kelly I trust...

Exactly what I do. If notre dame loses no sports for the rest of the day.

Damn, I'm coaching tomorrow. We were supposed to play early but they changed the game to 3 o'clock, right in the middle of the game for us west-coasters. DVR will be in full effect, but this is the first time EVER that I actually want to know the score of the game before I watch the game on the DVR (When I have to coach, I always tell the parents not to tell me the score of the ND game no matter what...I ignore all texts, phone calls and sports radio until I get home and watch the game as if it's live).

tell me about it, last week after the fake field goal i just sat and looked at the TV for 20 mins in just disbelief. I tried to watch some NFL games the next day, but it felt like i was reading a boring book. Only picking up the things that sounded exciting.

i really believe ND can pull it off, i always have faith until the clock hits zero in the 4th.
I can't wait until 3:30 or in my case 2:30 my time. i feel like a little kid and get butterflies.
Go Irish, let's win!!!

I was all set to go against the grain (for me) and bet on Stanford. Thanks to Phill Steele and Smirnoff, I'm all in on ND. You gotta believe. Even if I'm wrong, thanks to HCTI for the donated vbucks that are about to disappear!

So I just got off the phone with my mom. She told me that her and my dad are an hour outside of South Bend. I'm like what are you talking about. My mom goes on to tell me that my cousin got 4 tickets the other day and my mom and dad and my cousin and his wife are going to the game today. They didn't want to tell me they were going until then sent me a picture of all of them in front of Touchdown Jesus. My dad and my cousin have never seen a ND win in South Bend lets hope they can get today.

GO IRISH!

I bet on Stanford. It will be my happiest loss of vbucks to date if we win. I'll be cheering for ND the whole game, I got my Green jersey on again, just like Week one, so hopefully, me not having it on the last two weeks is why we lost.

i know what ya mean...my son is in middle school now and doesnt have to play on saturdays anymore, but if the irish lose it just ruins the whole damn weekend...my brother would always text me during the game and i tried to avoid looking, but never had the will-power and would have to look and get pissed if we were behind...i think the kids on the team knew too, they would know if nd was ahead i was more relaxed...haha they played harder though when the irish were tanking...hopefully we have a great day

I'm looking around the scoreboard today... MSU, Michigan, BC, Iowa... all play complete cream puffs and they are not alone...

there is absolutely no advantage to playing six straight AQ teams to start the season... in fact I wonder how much a front loaded schedule has had to do with us falling apart against the "weak back half" we have faced the last two seasons...

How nice would it have been to have WMU THIS week after the last two hard loses... instead we have maybe our best opponent all year....... followed by BC and Pitt....

ouch

It's very rough for the team right now. Even if we lose this week, BC and Pitt look very beatable for us right now. Worst case we are 1-3 heading into next week, and we then have the opportunity to run off some wins heading into Utah. Hopefully that streak, which gets easier after Pitt and BC, can help improve execution and confidence, and can give us a very good chance of beating Utah at home. If we are able to do all of that, it's not out of the realm of possibility to run the entire table after Stanford, provided execution and confidence gets better through the easier part of our schedule. What I'm trying to say, is that even if we lose to Stanford, the season isn't lost, and if we continually get better, which should happen, we can finish the season strong. I think we need to win every game up to Utah if we lose this week, and then beat USC or Utah to finish 8-4, which would be an improvement I can accept. 7-5 is not acceptable for me, personally.

With Luck's best WR down for the count today...

And our 3-4's ability to 2 Under Man...

And a healthy Crist...

I'm gonna say... we stop the trees on the final series of the game for a win.

I think we can jump out quick and get a lead. Out west, I'm hearing a lot of Oregon v Stanford next week for the Rose Bowl, possible NC game birth. If they are looking ahead, we can get them early, but will we hold on if they re-focus on ND?

Don't be shocked if UCLA hangs with or even beats Texas. This will also show the strength of Stanford.

Mandatory meeting at work today, wore my ND hat, jersey and basketball shorts..... a co-worker says, "Really?!, you think it's over yet"?... I simply said, I am fan, not a chameleon or a Tennessee fan.....

he shut up and walked away....

GO IRISH!!!!!
