no need to try and convert 4th and 40 nothing was there take the incomplete. punt and play defense.

I was talking about the 3rd down play (which was 3rd and 40 as well)...throw deep.

It's either:

- complete (yay!)
- pass int (yay!!)
- smacked down (no big deal)
- intercepted (no big deal, it's Syracuse, they ain't gonna return it 100 yards for a TD)

No lose situation really.....why waste trying to throw short on 3rd only to watch JC throw it away? I'd rather see him throw an INT down near the goal line instead of up near the 40.
