Pete Sampson on Rivals is giving updates on his HS game right now. Eilar ran "untouched" for a 30 yrd TD to put them up 7-0 in the first quarter.

Apparently Pickerington, Ohio/Central has some ballplayers in the 2012/2013 class according to Chris Pool of ESPN.
Taco Carlton: 6'6"/235lb DE as a sophmore
Jacoby Boren: 6'3"/275lb OL/DL as a junior
With Eilar coming out of there maybe we could be in line with some future prospects? We usually do well in Ohio.

It was mentioned below.

ESPN had a write up on Hardy for Insiders, but this is what was available for me:

Eilar Hardy shows off new position at Warren Central Classic - ESPN

INDIANAPOLIS -- All things considered, it was a pretty good day for Notre Dame commit Eilar Hardy (Pickerington, Ohio/ Pickerington South).

In the fourth annual Warren Central Classic, Hardy, a three-star prospect and the No. 21 ranked safety, adjusted to a position change on defense while still making an impact on offense with a a 40-yard touchdown run in the first half which opened up the flood gates en-route to a Pickerington South 38-0 win over Plainfield (Ind.)

"I thought I did really well," Hardy said. "I could've done a lot of things better. The touchdown run was big. It took a lot of pressure off the team and made me relax a little more and I was able to let the game come to me instead of trying to score every play or make an interception on every play."

Eilar is making an unofficial visit this weekend with his family and he's bringing his friend Tamani Carter. I'll make a profile for Tamani and post some comments about him there.

just wanted to show love to a commit that doesn't get as much "air time" on here that others have. So here is a video i found of Hardy.

I'm very happy to have this kid. He doesn't get as much love as he should, but he's the anchor in our secondary for this class.

I am super excited about him. That is why I am not freaking out about our thinness at DB. I think he can be a stud.

Speed kills back at safety. As a Seattle Seahawk Fan (Go Tate and Carlson)--and being just 50 minutes from Seattle, we have a small super fast Safety that is a playmaker, and that is what Notre Dame needs. Earl Thomas! I despise Texas, but I'm glad he is a Seahawk. And I think Hardy can provide that same type of impact for us.

I'm glad he verbaled to us.

Go Irish, I look forward to seeing him here!

Hello everyone I am new to the forum but I wanted people to know that I teach at PHSC and Eilar Hardy is an outstanding young man. He is tall and rangy with sneaky speed. I think he will definitely make his mark in an Irish uniform. I talked to him after he made his official visit and he is very excited to come Notre Dame and be a part of bringing the program back to where it belongs.

I believe that we have not talked enough inclusively about Hardy in our near future speculations here. He sounds like a terrific prospect and I can imagine him helping out quickly. Plus, it's not obvious to me that he can't play corner as well as safety. We're coming into next season with three established safeties [Smith, Motta, & Slaughter] and two established corners [Gray & Blanton] and one "in-waiting" [Wood]. Taking injury bugs into account [as at least a planning concern], I see the new guys as having an excellent shot to play and Hardy is right at the top of that list.

I agree, I don't think people understand how talented this young man is. As I posted before, Doran Grant is my cousin and they played together in Orlando this summer in the gridiron kings 7 on 7 tournament for the midwest team. Eilar competed and showed that he belonged out there. He is sneaky fast and he likes to hit. He is every bit of 6'0 or 6'1. He needs to bulk up a little but he is definitely a player. He will be playing in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Myrtle Beach, so he will be able to showcase his talents there as well. I think he will surprise people when he gets to Notre Dame.
