I'm planning a road-trip to South Bend for my first Notre Dame home game. I've got a hotel room, now my next task is tickets.
Prices for upper level seats are around $140 on most broker sites for the Pittsburgh game. Should I hold off until I get up there and try to buy some off of a scalper? Are scalpers fairly abundant at ND?
I have been to a lot of UGA games and Braves games, and even the ND-GT game two seasons ago. Based on my experience, I've always been able to somewhat luck up and find some reasonable tickets right before game time. But since I've never been to ND, I don't really know what to expect. There will be at least four of us, so usually that is a pretty good negotiating tool. "Hey man, it's almost game time. I'll give you $300 for 4 tickets." That's usually pretty hard for people to pass up.
