Rivals lists Watts Dantzler with an ND offer and Mike Elston as his recruiter.

Dantzler was on ND's campus last Fall for the Southern Cal game but he doesn't look likely to be an ND signee. He's got a Top 5 of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt - all SEC teams. Dantzler is a GA boy, attended camp at UGA, and is a UGA legacy.

Hope he really looks into academics as a main priority, we would be sitting alot better if he does that.

Per Andrew Bone TideSports.com

3/9 Dantzler visited Tuscaloosa - again.

The visit was awesome. It went real well. I enjoyed the whole day. I got to meet all the coaches. I got to see the whole campus. Overall it was just a great experience.

He found Saban equally awesome:

I think he is awesome. “From everything I have heard and seen I know he is a winner. He has won national championships at Alabama and LSU. You know he is going to win wherever he is.

He also made trips to UGA and Old Miss in March.

OL Watts Dantzler having fun with recruiting process | AJC College Sports Recruiting

I’m actually playing tennis right now. I enjoy it and . . . I’m on the JV right now. I haven’t qualified for varsity just yet. But I’m trying.

He got into tennis to improve his footwork. He also plays basketball for his HS.

Widely considered a lock for UGA he intends on visiting as many schools as possible to help reach his decision. As of the date of this article he had 18 offers and has been to 12 schools.

I’ve tried to visit as many places as I can. Colleges spend so much money recruiting me. Tons of colleges send me tons of mail and invite me to stuff. So I try to get out and visit everywhere at least once or twice to get a good grasp of what that college has to offer and what not.

ND recently offered and he expects a Southern Cal offer

Trips to South Bend and Los Angeles surely will follow, tennis schedule allowing of course

He doesn't have a top 5 or top 10 list yet, but per Scout, 3 teams will definitely be on his list: Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. They will all get an OV from him this fall.

No other schools were mentioned in the article, aside from the article mentioning North Carolina having visited his school (40+ schools visited his school this May). Like BGIF said, he seems to be a southern boy and will stay in the SEC. ND doesn't look to be even a minor player here...

Ten at 10: Dalton OT Watts Dantzler to choose between Auburn, UGA on Sunday | AJC College Sports Recruiting

Chip Towers, AJC
6/15
For months Dalton offensive tackle Watts Dantzler (6-foot-7, 330 pounds) has planned a Nov. 16 announcement for his college decision. That is his birthday and, coming at the end of fall, it just seemed like the right time to do it. But the state’s top-rated offensive tackle changed his mind this week and decided to move up his decision date to this Sunday. The reason? “I just felt Fathers Day was a better day,” Dantzler told me yesterday. His father, Danny Dantzler, passed away 16 months ago after a long battle with ALS and Watts decided this would be a way to honor him. Besides, Dantzler has made up his mind now between a final two of Auburn and Georgia. Danny Dantzler, by the way, was an offensive lineman and football letterman at UGA (1971-73). Watts’ announcement is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday in the Dalton High School commons.

If he opts for Auburn, Father's Day will forever be cancelled.

He's a Dawg, like his father before him.

1st, amazing picture. Second, it's not him in that picture. That picture floated around the internet a few months ago when the hurricanes were tearing up the east coast.

And to compare, this is Watts...
