Really? Methinks if my Coach didn't give a shit, then I wouldn't give a shit about a loss.

You were in the band weren't you. No clue about what went on this game. We may have showed something in the end, but who cares. Charlie is a bum! As I have said many times on this site, the boys may win in spite of his bullshit efforts. I wasn't bashing the team, just the coach

Woah woah woah... you're calling me out as a band member? How long have you been on this board? Have you read any of my past posts? I played college ball and I'M COACHING NOW.

So dejected don't even know what to say. Give Tate the props he deserves. Played phenomenally & not once did I see anything that could be misconstrued as ego. JC is a tank.

Much respect to the Midshipmen.

Ya know, it almost seems like you, WabashFalcon (poopflipper), and myself are the only ones who aren't calling for Charlies head. I don't see how Charlie motivated or unmotivated Tausch to miss two field goals, or how he motivated or unmotivated or made Jimmy fumble or throw the ball off of Mike Floyds back or make the Mike Floyd not turn around. I feel if Charlie is fired, this program is going to be in shambles for the next 5 years at the minimum. The players like him, the recruits like him. If he leaves anybody who can be drafted will forgo their senior season and get out of here. Jimmy, Tate etc.Chip Kelly seems to be in what Charlie was a couple of years ago. He has a good team but it will run out when his players go pro.

There were only a few plays today where I was scratching my head as to why they were called. Some of them I was scratching my head more at the players trying to get a big play instead of a first down. I don't see how that is Charlie's fault at all. You guys can bash him all you want, I vote for him to stay.

Been on the board long enough. With your qualifications we shouldn't even be having this debate. I vote for you over Charlie!

I'm with you guys I want Charlie to stay. It would be good for the program, the current players, and keeping the recruits. Next year we're going to have a hell of a recruiting class and a hell of a team. You may think we say this every year but I really think next year is the year (if Jimmy and Golden stay)

Raises hand

Don't want him fired just question the play calling sometimes. Why is it Theo Riddick moves the ball all the way down the feild & we refuse to give him a shot in the RZ?

I put the loss on Charlie but I think he's a work in progress. CW brings a lot to the table in terms of recruiting, offensive scheming and winning (Super Bowls o'plenty). So I don't think firing someone with all of those positive attributes is the right way to go.

But he needs to do a better job of getting this team up. How many trips to the red zone resulted in no points today? I'm also going to tell you that I don't like timing patterns. The throw to Floyd that went off his back was obviously a timing pattern. Yes, timing patterns are a part of the game--but they also take away the need to think or use your head. A timing pattern also lost the game to USC. On big plays I want my players using all of their cognitive abilities. I don't want to see a ball going off somebody's back or the ball zinging buy the spot a player should've been.

But that's just me.

That was one of the calls I was confused about. Riddick looked damn good tonight.

Wabash - I agree with you that it wasn't Charlie's fault directly; however, someone has to take the blame for losing to the Naval Academy for 2 out of 3 years. Maybe that's Weis, maybe it isn't. Prior to Weis, ND hadn't lost to them in 41 tries(Weis has beaten them 3 out of 5 times in his tenure). Just Sayin'

Couldn't watch the game except for on Gamecast and blogs, but I see very little reason why CW cost the team this game. Fumbles all over the field missed field goals a rusty Floyd (looks like he dominated but drops/bad timing on routes happens when you've been injured) are all things that can screw up a good game plan.

I understand that Hughes is the power runner but he's looked a little squeamish in the RZ since he got his bell rung against USC. Riddick on the other hand is hungry like nobody's business & is running like a man possessed.

Maybe Navy is getting better. They used to own college football way back in the day... WAAAAAyyyyy back.

This team starts slow ... a lot. They don't make adjustments at half time. Penalties are mental mistakes. Those all seem attributable to coaching. I'm not on the fire Charlie bandwagon yet, but it wouldn't bother me. But, there is no way that you can look at it and say he's doing just fine. We may end up 7-5 with another trip to some lame ass December bowl game. Are you all satisfied with that?
