like any florida recruit, the visit is key. ND has no shot if they can't get him to visit. there are only a handful of players per year who have ND leading without a visit, and most of them have some tie to ND.

he has offers from every florida school, and it would be surprising if he left the state.

SoCal is right. no visit, no shot when it comes to kids with this sort of offer list. the rarity is punters, kids with short offer list (Toma, who is still a good get IMO.).

Luc will commit to FSU according to Gene the Warchant.com guy. He did an hour long interview and it seems likely.

In the recently released Rivals 100, he's a 5 star and the top LB prospect in the country, and 8th overall. It's nice to be on his list, but too bad it looks like he's all FSU...

And I disagree about you disagreeing. When it comes to FSU info, it doesn't get much better than the owner of warchant.com, and he said that in an hour long interview that he got the impression that Luc was going to FSU! Don't get me wrong, I would love for him to come to ND, but based off of what Gene told me, he is going to FSU.

Never really had him on our radar. didnt think he was ever coming to ND so i didnt pay much attention to his recruitment. im sure he is a great player and wish him success, but not that dissapointed by this.

i watched a video of Luc getting interviewed by some Georgia guy on Rivals and the reporter asked him..."so what's important to you when deciding on a school?"......he responded with "what scheme they're using and early playing time".

I guess those big buildings on campus aren't used for classes or anything? Jeez, this kid is just a football machine, the education part was not even an afterthought for this kid which is sad.....even more sad that the interviewer (you assume an educated adult) was giddy all over this kid and stroking his ego and not even catching the fact that school doesn't even cross the kids mind.

Reminds me an interview with Adrian Peterson years ago........just give the effing kid their ticket to the NFL....waste of educational resources. there's my rant.

That's true and I know what you're saying but that wasn't my point.

I was just stating that Luc and the interviewer ignored the fact that it's not even about "school"....it's about football. Which defeats the purpose of going to college IMO.

Clausen is a sociology major. He's no dummy I'm sure, but I believe it was John Carlson who double majored in history and american studies and had a 3.9 gpa. On top of being one of the best tight ends in the country.

It's not a prediction. He told Gene a couple weeks ago when he traveled to south Florida. I personally do not want to put him at an absolute lock, but I can say that for LaMarcus Joyner, who is a FSU silent verbal.
