So what's the deal with Peter Jones? I thought he had some potential coming out of HS. Wasn't he out with an ankle injury all of last year? Now out with a shoulder injury? Has the guy ever seen the light of day on the field?

Freeman said something like "hopefully sometime during camp, before game one" for the guys on the modified activity list. I wouldn't hold my breath in thinking that all of the guys on that list are going to back fo sure for game 1. I suspect they'll try to have them ready, but if there is any semblance of concern that they're not 100%, ND has the depth of talent to keep them out until they're good-to-go.

If KVA is 100% I'll be pumped, but if he doesn't sniff the field in September while working his way back from injury, that's perfectly fine by me. If he needs closer to 11 months to be full go, get him the time he needs.

IMO, Peter Jones has been recruited over significantly and likely won't ever play at ND. Too many young, healthy guys that are just going to be better.

While I tend to agree, you also can't hold guys out for 4 to 6 weeks then just assume they can play high level football as a unit against BYU.
