To be fair that match was more like a quarter final or semi match... I can see Morocco advancing a good bit in this field. I have not been impressed by anyone but France and to a much lessor degree Argentina. Everyone but France has looked vulnerable.
Argentina has a very clear path on paper, but based on what we've seen yesterday, they still need to show up. I'm actually a lot more concerned about Bosnia than I was 24 hours ago. Take no one lightly, whoever you are and whoever you face.

France's attack is just ridiculous.

Pochetinnos style will help prevent the mired in the muck sort of issues which plagued Germany. I don't think the US will have trouble scoring against Bosnia.

How the US comes out in this game and performs will tell us a lot. People are believing, but not 100% believing. If they run through Bosnia, look out, this team is for real. I can easily see them losing though. This world cup is nuts. German and Netherlands out in the round of 32 and Italy isn't even there.

Only 6 different teams have won the world since 1966. And if you take out the 1 time Spain won, it's only 5. France, Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Italy. 2 of them are already out this year. Anyone but France, Argentina or Brazil.

And England. F England.

Germany got hosed btw. That winning goal in OT should not have been waived off. The GK flopped something fierce.
The keeper was obstructed. It was a fair call. The one thing you could argue was his ability to actually make a play on the ball, but we'll never know because he was bear hugged by the German player.

I think they got hosed due to the stupid PK rule. They were clearly the better team and would most likely have won if they play till someone scores.

It's funny how people get annoyed with a keeper drawing attention to an obvious foul in a big moment when you consider how every other player on the field acts when their foot gets grazed:

My barometer: that would have been goalie interference in hockey too

Veteran german players refusing to take penalties probably hurt them too. Obvious lack of leadership in the group hence the surprize recall for Neuer

Nagelsmann reminds me of Dan Lanning in CFB. Big ideas guy that gets a lot of plaudits with nothing much to show for it.

Also, he could be Kenny Dillingham's brother.

He was not bear hugged. I am no fan of Germany, but they barely touched and the Gill just fell to the ground.

He came up very fast. He's only 38 years old and has already managed RB Leipzig, Bayern and Germany.
