Early 27 vs. 26 positional review (if we sign everyone in the class and add the recent HOT recruits)

Two-year cumulative:

OL 27: Olu - 98, Halter - 94, Flanigan - 89, J. Hill - 88, (Simien - 98)
OL 26: McKeogh - 93, Thom - 92, Merrill - 91, Garvin - 88, Nichols - 94, Patrick - 91
Winner: 27 due to high-end but volume of 26 gives more shots at a hit

LB 27: (Henderson - 99), (Igwebuike - 94)
LB 26: Davis Jr - 90, Clapper - 89
Winner: 27 due to star power

Edge 27: O'Neil - 93, Vaughn - 92, (Sesay - 98)
Edge 26: Dunham - 98, Ewatade - 93
Winner: 27 due to volume but the 2 from 26 already appear to be hits, should they be weighted more heavily for early returns? I've never seen edge recruiting like this.

NT/DT (DL) 27: Folorunsho - 94, (Parks - 93)
NT/DT (DL) 26: Golden - 92, Hola - 88, (Gray - 94),
Winner: If you include the transfer Gray, then it seems like a wash. Anyone care to break the tie?

RB 27: Whisenton - 90, Rogers - 90
RB 26: Walton - 93, Osborne - 92
Winner: 26 because I love both of the RBs. Whisenton is my favorite RB since Love

WR 27: Coleman - 87, (Jones - 97)
WR 26: Fitzgerald - 92, Finley - 91, Frazier - 90, Robinson - 90, Faison - 88, (Graham - 91), (Porter - 94)
Winner: 26 due to volume and early returns. Fitzgerald and Frazier are already turning heads. Porter and Graham further weight this one towards 26.

QB 27: Monds - 88
QB 26: Grubbs - 88, Jerrard - 89
Winner: TBD although 2 vs 1 means we're likely to find at least one hit between the 2 from 26, so slight edge to them even though Monds is a 5-tooler?

CB 27: Hasan - 94, Alston 93
CB 26: Adams - 97, Pouncey - 96, Smith - 91, Reddish - 88, (Sanders - 92)
Winner: 26 due to volume and high end. Incredible 2 year haul

S 27: Gamble - 92, Gay - 87
S 26: O'Brien - 97
Winner: 26 because I need to see more from Gay. It feels like I'm comparing Gamble to O'Brien so early favor tilts towards JOB but I love Gamble.

TE 27: Hawk - 90
TE 26: Fryzel - 88, Premer - 98
Winner: 26 because Premer. Everyone expects him to emerge this season. Love the 2 year combined haul.

You forgot Brewu in '26, I think that breaks the tie.

I wouldn't count Gray because he played so it isn't apple to apples. Hola is the lowest ranked player of them all so I would say 27. All things considered, just a ridiculous amount of talent being brought in.

Alright so I just looked into this because I could’ve sworn that the 2026 recruiting class was #2 in the country only behind USC. On both 247 and on3, Premer has disappeared from our 2026 recruiting class (bringing it down to 5 on 247, still 2 on on3.) Does anybody know why that is?

24/7 splits up Early Enrollees with Non-Early Enrollees for whatever reason.

He is still on both, just one of the few prospects from a large class that didn't early enroll. So there are 25 "enrollees" then under those, 5 "signed letter of intent" for example on 247.

As far as rankings and points go, there are: overall, recruiting, and transfer. We are ahead of USC in overall and transfer, behind in recruiting...but got passed by Ohio St, Bama, and Oregon late in the process. Composite score has always been 299.28 including Premer and all the rest.

Basically everyone.

15 of the current 17 commits (Folorunsho and LS Sean Kraft were there last weekend)

- Monds, Whisenton, Rogers, Coleman, Hawk, Olu, Halter, Flanigan, Hill, O'Neil, Vaughn, Hasan, Alston, Gamble, Gay

And the uncommitted players - Jones, Simien, Henderson, Segun Alexander

19 in Total.

Last weekend was the 2 above commits and 5 others - Sesay, Parks, Tyler Alexander, Igwebuike, and Greedy James

7 Total.

I still wonder if the staff would take both Parks and T. Alexander. Driskell has not gotten a concrete answer that. Singer has not really mentioned that possibility. Not sure what all Loy has said about it, if anything.

If Georgia wants him, we should take him

Didn't know where to put this but on our 247 class ranking down at the bottom of the page. It shows the highest rated ND commits of all time, going back to 2001 anyway. 8 of the top 25 are on the current roster or committed to the 27 class. That's pretty amazing what MF and co are doing.

We ironically fell one spot in 247 team rankings when Sessay committed because at the same time Oregon landed a 5* WR who's ONE spot ahead of Sessay.

Assuming ND lands Roman Igwebuike and losses iut in Kaden Henderson, here are 5 LBs that I'd consider taking a run at, offering some serious NIL to, in hopes of landing a potential impact player.

1. Omarii Sanders (Nashville, Tennessee)
2. Jalaythan Mayfield (Lincolnton, North Carolina)
3. Sean Fox (Indianapolis, Indiana)
4. Theo Wilson (Seffner, Florida)
5. Jeremiah Proctor (Gainesville, Georgia)

This is assuming, of course, that they can't convince Tahj Gray to reclassify to 2027.
