Coach Charlie Patridge is born and bred in South Florida. He's recruited the area for 30 years. With him, Freeman and a bag filled with NIL money, they are going to get who they want in SF.
Said this from day one. He will be a presence down there. This is not to say that Al Washington didn't leave things in a good spot. It's simply that Partridge has a lot of connections down there and he's going to be out and about.

FoFrankly, recruiting in Florida and Texas to me is more important then California
Then we miss out on the KVAs and Madden Faraimos. Southern California is absolutely loaded with well coached, top notch football talent. The Trinity league is probably the best high school football in the country. It would be, in my opinion, a mistake not to devote resources to So Cal recruiting.

Seems like everyone shits on Cali recruits b/c they're flaky. That may be true, or maybe it's just our perception based on the outcome of a couple high profile recruits.

Too much talent to ignore completely and I'll take all the Poly kids.

Aaron Henry and Brian Jean-Mary are also from Florida. Between all those guys' backgrounds, that's bound to open most doors in Florida, in particular south Florida
Also true. It's just going to be dialed up across the board when all is said and done.

Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida are the best per capita. Texas, California, Ohio and Virginia are always going to be factors. Atlanta and the surrounding burbs is absolutely loaded.

IDK. Just find the guys who can be on a championship team. Who cares where they are from. Low hanging fruit will be in these particular states, but in the end, just find your guys. No stone left unturned.

Don't ignore it; but don't concentrate there either

It will need to be if we are going from playing in California every year to once every four years...
I believe concentrating closer to home gives us more bang for the buck. Farthest I would put serious effort into is Florida.
Where have most of Notre Dames greatest players come from:
hint, its not California

Yes. IT would be nuts to let the BUG become the big news there while SC is down.
