that Artemis 2 launch was impressive as heck. Is everyone into this over there? If I lived in the USA I would have been on the beach in Florida watching that live.

So we are just going AROUND the moon got it. So we still can't land on it in 2026 but we did in 1969? Ok yeah sure.

You all can believe it when they tell you they "lost the technology" but I'm not a sucker! 🤣

I watched it. It's definitely impressive! I've always been fascinated by the space program and grew up during the '60s as we were going through the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. I lived close enough to Huntsville that we could hear and feel it when they tested the larger rocket engines there. Lots of my friends' dads were engineers and techs at NASA, and later, several of my HS classmates followed in their shoes.

I'm very excited about us finally going back to the moon. This is just a lunar orbital flight to test systems and equipment, but we're scheduled to land again in the next two or three years.

Can’t tell if this is a serious post at all

But we haven’t done this in 55 years. Nobody who worked on this previously is still employed at NASA. We have a brand new design for the spacecraft, brand new G+C, comms, etc. We are taking a new trajectory, landing at a different spot on the moon than ever before. It would be stupid to actually attempt to land on the moon on the first mission

It is also a risky thing to try a mission like this with a Canadian on board.

Good thing the White House wanting to make a major budget cut to NASA was stopped by the house and senate

I decided to put The Man In The High Castle off for a while and started something else: Godfather Of Harlem starring Forest Whitaker. I'm three episodes in, but already hooked. It's about 60s drug kingpin Bumpy Johnson and has a great cast. Bumpy was the boss and mentor of Frank Lucas, played by Denzel in American Gangster. Whitaker is such a phenomenal actor and this looks like a great show so far.

Falls off hard after S1 IMO

Anyone watch Paradise?

It’s tough to discuss the show without spoilers. Polarizing show but I’ll probably see it through to the end, which seems to be awhile as S3 is already renewed. I can see it getting 5 seasons.

Season 3 is supposed to be the final season. I love it personally. I've been watching the episodes solo then re-watching with my lady and it's amazing how many subtle details I've picked up on the second watch.

Makes sense. Felt like 3 or 5 once we got this season’s twist.

Man in the high castle is worth watching at least the first season, always fun with the What If scenarios
Agreed. I watched it through but it was truly eerie wondering what life in America would be like had the Axis Powers won WW2. Much like “Nuremburg” showed that “normal” people could do horrible acts, this fictional account showed how folks tend to follow self-prenervation and go along to get along. Ending got a big convoluted but I’m glad I saw it through.

I stared watching Mafia Spies on Paramount. If you're interested in Kennedy, Government secrets, Hoover, Bay of Pigs, Mafia in Cuba when Batista ruled, Castro, Sinatra, the FBI and the CIA, check it out. Kennedy actually asks Ian Fleming, yes that Ian Fleming for advice on how to get rid of Castro. I'm only through the first two episodes, but the stuff they are bringing up that wasn't common knowledge years ago is crazy.

For anyone into outdoor adventure type youtube but slightly over the influencer/content creators as they are now over producing things.
I am into a great channel called Stobe the Hobo. A youngish adventurer, train hopper, pianist, alco. Unfortunately, Stobe the hobo passed away in the pursuit of his train hopping adventures several years ago but his channel is great.

One of my favorite musicians and I'm not at all really into the genre. His music hits hard and hits home for whatever reason.

Me and the wife are almost done watching Last Man on Earth, and boy, nonstop laughs from me haha. Dumb humor so probably not everyone would like it, but really funny show and worth trying if you haven’t seen it

just finished the Hulk Hogan four episode doc. The interviews led right up to his death last year. I grew up watching wrestling when it was regional. Mid-South on Saturday morning, Georgia wrestling on TBS Saturday evening & Dallas wrestling w/ the Von Erichs, et al on Saturday night. I checked out around the time of Hogan & WWF/WWE/WCW so it was interesting to see his rise. Didn’t know all the personal stuff either. Co-worker suggested watching & it was interesting to say the least.
