Absolutely agree with OMM and the whole cast picking it up!
I do have to say Hannah is one of the fiercest competitors, at any sport, at any level, that I have ever seen. She literally wills this team to win and is incredibly entertaining.

Best game of the year all things considered. And we were up 18 with 41 seconds left when Hannah fouled out. The ten point margin was a little misleading.

The Irish women are one of the hotter teams in the country right now, excited for them to take on Vandy!

I have been critical of Niele more than most, but need to tip my cap. For as bad of coaching and leadership down the stretch last year, she has been the opposite this year. I sincerely hope this means she has turned the corner. Hidalgo was phenomenal, but she has been been the whole year. She alone couldn't win this game and the difference now compared to 8 weeks ago was the supporting cast. I think Niele deserves as much credit of that as the players do.

Ivey still has brain farts as she showed in the ACC Tournament but its a lot less often now

I'll give some credit to the coach ... but my coaching experience still makes me wonder exactly WHO during the practices and the game debriefs has been the key to Cowles and Moore and to a degree de Jesus waking up in terms of believing in themselves and making efforts every play.

What is also intriguing to me is the late-season offensive "requirement" of having de Jesus take the initiative of ball advancement (in normal circumstances) and half-court ball-movement initiation. This gets Hannah out of the spotlight and "heat" for pieces of the game. We even had several competent offensive plays wherein Hannah did not even touch the ball. THAT is WAY different from season's start. (In both of these actions, de Jesus' undervalued contributions are critical and should get some applause.)

Irish up 25-13 with 4 minutes and change in the second quarter. Vandy with 15 turnovers, 7 of those being steals from Hannah. Incredible.

Moore has picked a bad day to have her worst game. Can't buy a shot no matter how open, and low energy on the defensive end with late closeouts giving Galvan open looks.

If they helped her out a little bit she would have had a quadruple double. Just an incredible effort from Hidalgo.

It was nice to watch a team competently inbound a ball and break a press. A low bar the men haven't been able to clear for a few years.

The quadruple double had a chance!
rest of team only made 14 shots though (14/41) - assisted on half of them and made 14 shots herself (14/25).

Yep ... but how many better teams and coaches to cast "subtle influence" on the morons who vote?

On next game: I just hope that somehow we don't get humiliated by Auriemma and UCONN.
That would be a damm shame to end the season.

This is higher then I thought they would get; but they have overachieved. Ivey has not made any real mistakes either

But Uconn is a monster this year.

I understand the concern about playing UConn and I know this team has defiiciencies but…

We just beat a top 10 team with one of our worst shooting performances in recent memory. What happens if the threes start falling? Our defense is clicking and “the others” are showing they can play with anybody. Don’t let us stay hot, UConn.

We’re not the team they saw in January anymore.

Would have never guessed this team would make it farther in the tourney than last year's team. Such an impressive run. Hannah is must watch tv...period....exclamation point!
